John Mayer’s love/hate relationship with the media continues.
The funny face-making crooner responded to a question from a concert-goer at the Z100 Lounge at New York City’s Spotlight Live nightclub last night who asked if he had ever “hooked up” with a fan from a performance.
His answer? : “Do you respect my honesty? Yes, I have.” Then he laughed and added, “But that was before camera phones were around!”
Mr. Mayer also commented on life in the public eye. “TMZ is made of some garbage items,” said the 30-year-old musician. “I can’t be killed by garbage because I’m made of garbage. That’s the game and I’m okay with that.”

First, the term ‘mad skills’ was coined by Jeffrey Sebelia on Project Runway…ya know, the REAL rock n Roll Tatted guy, the ex-junkie…that would scare the bejeezes out of any John Mayer fan so don’t be using ‘mad skils’ to describe John Mayer. And besides, no girlies who listen to John Mayer know anything about guitar skills, they only know he is ‘dreamy’ and that people SAY he is a talented guitarist! And sorry I sound so agro…but I did find him very amusing and enjoyed his witty way of hadling the press and thought it was funny that he said he and TMZ were garbage and garbagae doesn’t destroy other garbage…but then that ginormous talent and brain of his that he always has to point out that he has, goes on to show the magicians trick and the man behind the curtain…the one that says he is playing TMZ to pacify his loser fans who use sites like TMZ to see him and if his fans want to belittle themselves by going to a site like TMZ just to see him walk down to the street to the gym, then he is going to make nice with them as it plays well to his fans. BUT HE IS PUTTING HIS FANS BY SAYING THAT THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT TO SEE AND SO THEREFORE HE PANDERS DOWN TO THEM! If he would’ve stopped at the garbage point, he’d have been ok and been funny and self-deptecating.
