Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is among a handful of men featured on Ebony’s ‘The 25 Coolest Brothers Of All Time’ Issue-August 2008.
Other cover shots will feature Prince, Jay-Z, Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel Washington, Marvin Gaye, Muhammad Ali, and Billy Dee Williams.
Our thoughts on Obama’s uber hip cover shot?

Mmm nice! He’s not a standard good looking guy, but he radiates confidence which makes him very attractive.
Here comes the loser who has been mistaking this blog for a political blog in 3 2 1 …

Before those two trolls come flooding the board with 50 different names and 50 posts, I just wanna say I WILL BE VOTING FOR BARACK OBAMA IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!
CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN

GW, those losers annoy the HELL out of me. For a LONG time I’ve not been reading the comments because of them. This is an entertainment/.celebrity driven blog and I really wish they’d go away.
Anyway, Barack looks GOOD here!!

That magazine is so irrelevant it’s hysterical. And before some asshole shouts “racist” - I’M BLACK AND OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT THE MAGAZINE WAS LIKE OVER 20 YEARS AGO. The shit is the same as it was over 20 years ago. Seriously, it’s like that crazy old lady in your neighborhood who is still dressing and wearing her hair and makeup the exact same way she did in her youth. To her and to Ebony I say: Let it go. The present and the future are a wonderful thing bitches.

he looks great!
July 4th, 2008 at 10:59 am
Wow. We have not seen cool like that in the Big White since JFK. Meena called it, tha’ brotha’ is fierce. And on top of it, I actually want to vote for him in spite of all that. I have a lot of hope for Obama — viva the Black Camelot!

Hopefully there is also articles about drop outs, and non college educated.
Awareness should serve to actually point and resolve problems, not to generate pride with no change for most.

From Dreams of My Father: “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.”
tough $hit fascist libs. obviously we all know you don’t like a diverse set of opinions. you like your echo chambers. the owner of the blog is a politically minded person. pop culture and politics go hand and hand. and you espouse politics when you endorse this radical marxist fraud invention of a man. this isn’t a case of, ‘if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything.’ oh, should we all just comment on his physical appearance? wow, nice shades barry! i love those! you think in an election year a pic of him won’t spark a convo?
drug test him after we see his real birth certificate. maybe that’ll be posted in “IVORY” mag or on WET.

Adam,
Obama didn’t actually write those words.

He should stick to modeling , cause the oval office is not for a ghetto president and fist jabs.
What the media won’t stoop to get him elected.
why don’t they show him chain smoking why is that side of him covered up.
He’ll get the mtv vote but gonna need more that that to win.
July 4th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
Who knew marxism was cool ??????
July 4th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
It’s just hysterical the way the media (especially MSNBC and NBC) trips over itself to justify or explain away all his gaffes. LOL.
When do we get ask him real questions??
He won’t do town halls with Mccain, what is he afraid of ?
July 4th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
At least 10% of blacks are not voting for him just because he is half black. good for that 10 % showing some intelligence.
July 4th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Wow, it’s really sad to read some of these comments. Why have you people closed off your minds?
July 4th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
Hey post number 5, I guess I am one of the trolls you speak of. I however use a screen name rather than hide behind “anonymous”. How does it make sense to you to not comment politically about a political figure? Or have you come to the realization that the only thing worth talking about when it comes to Barack is what he’s wearing and how he looks? It does seem like that has been the whole appeal of his campain after all. I would love to see a magazine cover of Barack and his wife standing beside a dumpster that contains babies who have undergone the partial birth abortion procedure he supports. Oh yes..man of the year!

Prince is black????
July 5th, 2008 at 12:04 am
Great photo….
July 5th, 2008 at 5:51 am
@ sunshine: Yeah right… That’s why a different screenname just so happens to emerge with every new post…that’s why several anonymous use similar sentences and/or phrases…that’s why angelina related posts are spammed with several anonymous who just so happen to share all the same views and vocabulary. Give me a fucking break.
It’s not that you are being critized for stating political views on a politician, it’s that you seem to politicize everything. Please, a celebrity can’t even fart without you “sharing” your political views or putting a political spin on it. This is a gossip blog not a political (redneck) blog. Whatever Billy Bob!
@The Beautiful One : I know how you feel.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:51 am
Hey GW, the only time I make a political comment is when there is a political figure who is pictured or a celeb walking around hollywood wearing a life size Obama shirt (hense the political content of the picture.) I don’t comment about the state of the union when they show a picture of Maddox picking his nose. I also don’t get your reasoning that it was “redneck” to respond about something deeper then someone’s hotness and clothing choice. Interesting, did you have a problems with Hotstuff’s comments to, or are only anti-Obama comments worth banning? This is America and there is freedom of speech so if you and The Beautiful One can’t handle people’s political comments about a political canidate then find a new site that does not post any.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:58 am
GW, And by the way, I NEVER post in another name so get used to the fact that there is more than just two people who are sick of this guy.
July 5th, 2008 at 11:54 am
Whatev! Barack is made for the tabloid age. I mean, look at the man. He’s beautiful. More pics of Barack on mag covers! Seriously. The man looks like he just walked off the runway. More pics of Michelle too!
July 5th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
You can put lipstick on a pig
still a pig.
and no I am not racist , seems like every time barack hussein obama is criticised it’s racial, when he is the one that formed his racisct views from a 20 year relationship with a racist church ? Marxist nicaraguan Black liberation theology anyone ???????????
July 5th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Tabloid age ………. Is not going to make ISLAMOFASCISTS go away.
July 7th, 2008 at 8:41 am
Sure , it’s just a coincidence that the same type of comments started to appear as some commenters’ names… Whatever. So all the regular commenters left at that point for no reason…
And yes, I would find it annoying too if positive political comments were made on non-political posts.
July 9th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
Wow, people…are we in 2008, or 1930 in the deep South?
Get a (subjective) higher education and quit hating people for their “color” - a juvenile hatred which is so obviously engendered by fear and ignorance. Education will save us all.
We may have a black President - deal with it, people. It’s not 1930 anymore.
For those of you who believe - God is LOVE, remember? Not judgment, not hatred.
(And read the New Yorker article on the fall of Conservatism if you want to see the political reasons that the hate-mongering greedies are no longer going to spit all over America’s good name. I pray for those poor neo-Cons and all of the destruction and anguish they have caused our country and our planet: may God have mercy on their souls!)
July 9th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
And I meant an “objective” higher education…which I do have, but on two hours’ sleep that’s not always reflected in my choice of vocabulary.
