Alexa Ray Joel testified yesterday in her mom Christie Brinkley’s divorce settlement case and said on the stand that Peter Cook treated her well before he married her mother.
But afterward? She said he was constantly on her case, chastising her “if I chewed too loud” and criticizing her piano playing.
Said the aspiring singer/songwriter/pianist: “He was just very critical of me in general.”
Wait — it gets worse. When her lengthy shower caused a leak in the kitchen below in 2003, Cook allegedly stormed into the bathroom and demanded she mop up immediately. When she got downstairs wearing only a towel, he pushed her head into a bucket and yelled, “You clean this up!” she said.
Now we’ve learned that not only did Cook like to spend absurd amounts of money on porn, but he also enjoyed shattering the self esteem of you girls.

This man is a con.. There was no way for Christie to have known that till after the fact. None of it was real- and he obviously had an agenda. What a horror to realize you’ve been duped, and the piece of shit now wants to take you for all your worth. He is not a good man period. If he was so worried about what a trial would do to the children- why did he not settle out of court to spare them the humiliation? I’ll tell you why- he doesn’t give a shit about the kids that’s why.. Go ahead Christie expose this monster for who he really is..
Christie is always the victim, no matter what. She has been married four times but because she’s so nice and sweet, people act like that’s normal. She has horrible taste in men and always has. If you have four failed marriages, the only common denominator is you. I don’t doubt that he’s a scumbag, I just don’t believe he just started being one. Step up and take responsibility for your mistake in choosing a loser, again, and move on. No matter how much of a d-bag he is, she comes across as a less than stellar mother. She doesn’t need his money, he doesn’t need hers, they are basically fighting over children that they both seem to love. I guess it never occurred to Christie that by going public she has put their children in an untenable situation. Imagine having to go to school in the fall when everyone knows these intimate details. Put your children first and your egos second.

Actually I think it’s a pretty good picture of Alexa. I’ve seen other pictures of her where I feel sorry for her for getting Daddy’s looks, but she’s quite striking here. Not a great beauty perhaps but a very distinctive look. I know very little about Christie, but her husband is obviously a scumbag. Frankly I respect her greatly for dumping him as soon as she found out about the (latest) affair.

I love Christie. I think she’s not only gorgeous but seems to be like a really nice person and a great mother. This really must be tearing her up that Peter turned out to be such a jackass. She really should have stayed with Billy, he adored her and their daughter. All you have to do is listen to some of his album to see that. Goodnight my Angel still makes me cry when I hear it.
