MARTHA’S RUN-IN WITH THE COPS

Time for a story that isn’t about Paris Hilton – but it does involve a former inmate.En route to her appearance on ‘The View’ on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Martha Stewart’s chauffeured car began to get tailed by a police cruiser. When she arrived, cops arrested the driver immediately.

Not surprisingly, Martha was pissed and went up to her dressing room and, according to a source, “started shouting loudly to an assistant over the phone.” She yelled, “How could you do this to me? Don’t you do background checks on people? He was Egyptian! What do I pay you people for?”

Reps for the queen of all things good told Page Six: “The company confirms the driver was arrested yesterday. He was a temporary employee and had only been with MSO a short while.”

No word on what the man was actually booked for, but more importantly, what difference does it make if he was Egyptian? M.Stew should just be grateful the po-po weren’t knocking on her door again.
