After spending three days in jail, Paris Hilton was mysteriously sent home to serve the rest of her sentence under house arrest a la an ankle monitor. The reason for P.Hil’s release was said to be due to her fragile mental state, as her psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophy told law enforcement that Paris was at risk of some sort of nervous breakdown.
Suffering from a little bit of a nervous breakdown before being hauled off to the pokey? That’s so unusual and supversive! (Not.)
Anyway, after all that hoopla, and Paris probably dancing a jig that she gets to spend the next 40 days lounging around her mansion, the heiress has been ordered back to court today, for a hearing to determine why the Sheriff’s Department allowed her to get out of jail when the judge had expressly ordered her to serve out her entire sentence.
Court papers filed by Los Angeles city attorney Rocky Delgadillo state: “The Los Angeles Sheriff ’s Department has acted in violation of such law and order by allowing Hilton to leave the Century Regional Detention Centre on electronic monitoring. This court should issue an order to show cause to the Los Angeles Sheriff ’s Department regarding why it should not be held in contempt for violating this court’s commitment order.â€
Pull those extensions out and throw her back in jail!

Not only should she have to go back to jail, they need to extend her original sentence by the three measley days she spent locked up. *coco* I do see and understand your point about Michelle Rodriguez. But it was not about her being arrested and released for drunk driving because of overcrowding. She fessed up to what she did and didn’t try to make excuses for it. Paris, on the other hand not only lied when she was pulled over in January about knowing her license was suspended, but lied again in February when she was pulled over again, and then lied yet again during her trial. Martha Stewart and Lil Kim and a few others were the ones who didn’t get off with easier sentences because they flat out lied IN COURT. I think that is why the judge openly shows his disgust for her. But that is just my opinion.

Haven’t you seen the video where she is using the n-word REPEATLY which is the ultimate reason why Isaiah Washington lost his job? She failed to comply with the probation given to her. I have never heard of anyone receiving probation for a DUI in my state. She was stopped twice for driving on a suspended license and signed a document acknowledging that she was not suppose to drive after she was stopped the first time with a warning. She was supposed to enroll in an alcohol awareness program as well and choose not to. She flaunted to the world that she believes that she is above the law! We have all seen the videos and are tired of it!! Last but not least, she was late to court! If she would have arrived on time and showed a little remorse then maybe she would have been given a lesser sentence but then again she wasn’t even given the maximum sentence. She has more money then most of us will ever make and all she needed to do was hiring a fecking driver! Paris has made this bed and now thus must lie in it!

*anonymous* No, she knew. Because when she was pulled over in January, the officer informed her that her license was suspended and she said she didn’t know. So, he got her to sign some form stating that he informed her of her license status. I don’t know if you remember but she got her car impounded or something and someone had to drive her home and everyone thought it was another DUI but it was just the fact that they couldn’t allow her to drive back home. I think her publicist just basically made a statement that if it were a DUI she would have been booked and she wasn’t. Jump forward a month and she gets pulled over again and she uses the same excuse and she gets a court date this time. And then remember IN COURT she blamed Elliot Mintz for telling her the license was valid, but the court had the document that she signed when she was pulled over in January.

I think the problem here is that probably most of us have lives, whereas you are the one who seems mostly separated from any kind of social contact with other human beings, and thus don’t know how to act towards such. I remember a Vogue article about Paris and Nikki Hilton about about 12 years ago. It was an interview of Kathy Hilton in their New York apartment. Kathy was “introducing” America to her daughters in this article and had said in the news piece that she had hired a PR firm to ensure that Paris and Nikki get into all the “right clubs and meet all the right people”. I think that Paris was about 14 years old. Paris had her own PR Agent at 14 years old.
The article was so astonishing, that is why I remember it from so many years ago.
Kathy Hilton seemed to have forgotton to have ensured that Paris graduated from high school, go to college, get etiquette lessons, travel to third-world nations to learn empathy and appreciation, and the lesson of “to whom much is given, much is expected”.
This backlash is a riot! I couldn’t have scripted it any better! Paris Hilton’s “days in the sun” have been over for some time now. She will just continue to be furthur shunned by the REAL Holllywood crowd that she so badly wants to be a part of. She has become a joke–a la the MTV Awards! EVERYONE at that theatre was laughing at her, not with her.
She is smarter than she looks, I hate that “babytalk” voice of hers. She should have just been smart and shut-up, done her time and taken a cab back home from jail and kept all of this as low-key as possible. This is a mistake that cannot be undone. No one will forget this one. Paris will be hated more for this than any of her other misdeeds.
I doubt her perfume, appearance, etc. contracts will be hitting her agents desks any time soon.
