SEAL IS BETTER THAN YOU

Seal is well known for being a little car crazy.

Just last month, the crooner showed off his new $150 000 Audi R8 during a day out in L.A. But it looks like Seal’s need for speed hasn’t quite been quenched.

Looking rough and tough yet still so sexy, Heidi Klum’s hubby was spotted driving around Beverly Hills in his latest a purchase — a Bentley Azure convertible.

The cost of Seal’s latest toy of the month? A cool $350 000.

Who knew Kissed By a Rose royalties were still raking in so much?!?

Affluenza is a term used by critics of consumerism, a portmanteau of affluence and influenza. Sources define this term as follows:

affluenza, n. a painful, contagious, socially transmitted condition of overload, debt, anxiety and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more. (de Graaf [1])

    affluenza n.
    1. The bloated, sluggish and unfulfilled feeling that results from efforts to keep up with the Joneses.
    2. An epidemic of stress, overwork, waste and indebtedness caused by the pursuit of the American Dream. 3. An unsustainable addiction to economic growth.

“If the economy has been doing so well, why are we not becoming happier?” ….. affluenza causes over-consumption, “luxury fever”, consumer debt, overwork, waste, and harm to the environment. These pressures lead to “psychological disorders, alienation and distress”, causing people to “self-medicate with mood-altering drugs and excessive alcohol consumption”.

  8. commodity fetishism Says:

In Marxist theory, commodity fetishism is a state of social relations, said to arise in capitalist market based societies, in which social relationships are transformed into apparently objective relationships between commodities or money. The term is introduced in the opening chapter of Karl Marx’s main work of political economy, Capital, of 1867 .

As it relates to commodities specifically, commodity fetishism is the belief that value inheres in commodities instead of being added to them through labor. This is the root of Marx’s critique relating to conditions surrounding fetishism–that capitalists “fetishize” commodities, believing that they contain value, and the effects of labor are misunderstood.

    you are Christian ?

I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:24.

What do you think it means ?

  16. Says:

In economics, Veblen goods are a theoretical group of commodities for which peoples’ preference for buying them increases as a direct function of their price, instead of decreasing according to the theory of supply and demand. It is claimed that some types of high-status goods, such as diamonds or luxury cars, are Veblen goods, in that decreasing their prices decreases people’s preference for buying them because they are no longer perceived as exclusive or high status products.[1] Similarly, a price increase may increase that high status and perception of exclusivity, thereby making the good even more preferable. The Veblen effect is named after the economist Thorstein Veblen, who first pointed out the concepts of conspicuous consumption and status-seeking.

  22. . Says:

    >The paradise of nuts is Closed ,Shattered

So what are my illusions, you arrogant ill informed critic ? The fact that I quoted a definition for Affluenza, Commodity Fetishism and Veblen Goods for someone driving around in a gold Rolls Royce? Well what a surprise !!!! TV told you Marx was bad, so you must never read it ? You know nothing of me, my life, my loyalties or my bank account amounts: all of which you presume to know. You reel in flailing contempt when someone presents a more informed response than you have managed to cultivate YOUR ENTIRE LIFE ? FYI the phrase “commodity fetishism” existed before MARX. You never read a word I said and responding to grammatically deprived drivel such as: “Humanbeings are not clones or a gear in a machine,Civilization was built by outstanding genius persons and always was destroyed by nuts suffering brain disorder “adolf, karl, mao, etcetera “,”, for me, is not time well spent. There will be no further response.
