CHARLIE SHEEN IS SORRY FOR BEING A BIGOT

Charlie Sheen joins the ranks of a few other celebrities in a disturbing trend: the use of the N-word.

The Two and a Half Men star has issued an apology after a voicemail in which he uses the slur against ex-wife Denise Richards went public.

Says Charlie in a public statement: “I deeply apologize by my choice of words to all I have obviously offended; especially to Tony Todd, an African-American, who was my best man at my first two weddings.”

See, y’all? Charlie ain’t a racist! His very best friend is black (as he so conveniently points out.)

this reminds me of when one of the girls on ANTM accuses Whitney of being racist and she responds by saying, “My best friend is black!!!!”

I think this country has become a bit to fixated on the N word. It’s just another swear word for God’s sake. I’m tired of hearing all this mock outrage about it.

You know what, I really LOVE people who say ‘I have [insert ethnic minority here] friends so I’m not [insert prejudice here]‘ it means jack. You can still hold racist/ignorant/bigoted views and have ‘friends’ who would be offended by that slur. Eejit.
I don’t think its ’selective outrage’ it just depends on what the media decides to use to further widen the social gap between groups of people. Right now mass media is all about anti-Muslim feeling so this should pass soon enough in comparison to the other shit Sheen has said.

You know as a black woman, I hear the nig**R word all the time. I’m immune to it all. As for Charlie, he’s an idiot. Don’t use the word as an insult. That’s just plain stupid.

Damn. I just lost a little respect for the “Candyman” (Tony Todd). Seriously, Charlie Sheen is a porn addicted/woman hating/drug addicted scumbag/bad parent. Racism is just the icing on the cake for this guy.

Damn yall why do we have to use the n word as the ultimate insult? People will be chill and as soon as an African American does wrong by them its back to the N word. Call them a moron, asshole, douchebag, dickhead… WHATEVER. But using the N word as insult is tired.

The “N” word doesnt mean shit.
Everyone, including myself uses it. It means different things to different people.
Its a damn word people, get over it you people that are still stuck in the 1800’s.
I can come up with more offensive words to all, instead of the “N” word.

DO ANY OF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT THINGS OR JUST START RANTING AS SOON AS YOU READ SOMETHING?

First… He didn’t call a black person the N word. PERIOD! It was used in anger towards Denise and I’m sure a black person was the furthest thing from Charlie’s mind when he said it. Second, if Denise didn’t leak that just to gain points, no one would ever know including his black friend and would not offend anyone. Third it almost sounds to me like the “my friend is black” was a back handed joke at the end.. like everyone says “my friend is black” and because of the ridiculousness of it all, he made a joke.. maybe in bad taste but a joke none the less.

I’m am puertorican with lots of colors splashed in my gene pool so I am in no way racist.. but seriously.. people, stopping giving the N word so much power! When you stop letting it define you by being offended when it’s NOT directed toward you, you will find peace. If someone calls me a spic or wetback or whatever, I don’t let that get to me. I feel sorry for someone who thinks they can judge me by my race, than that is YOUR ignorance, not mine. If you are open minded enough to get to know me for me and not my race, sex, age, economic status.. then those are the people who matter. I am the very best person I can be and THAT is what matters people…

I love when racists point out the ONE black friend they have. It’s so funny. And ONLY1, as a Puerto Rican you should speak for yourself. You’re in no position to tell anyone how they should react to the N word. You may not be offended by derogatory words directed towards you but I am. If anyone calls me out of my name then they better be prepared to get their ass kicked. Oh, and Charlie Sheen is a fucking idiot.

Yeah usually people who are racist say things like “i have black friends”. I have heard that from some of real racists.

Hotbitch.. I guess to each their own.. but seriously allowing a word to personally offend you when it’s not directed toward you is letting the word define you. Now, if someone was attacking me personally regardless of what they called me, thems fighting words… but that’s not what I said. Please re-read my post.

obnly 1… I dont want noone using the n word around me near me or by me or over or under me… sure its offensive b/c i know what my mother, grandmother and her parents went thru… the sacars are still there, some blacks lost their lives from being called the word.. some have been ridiculed and called these low disgusting name all there lives, of course theres pain ,, i dont give a damn about no charlie sheen… why is he even effing using the word and then apologizing… STOP USING THE WORD PERIOD…AND THAT MESS ABOUT BLACK FOLKS USING IT… LET BLACKS FOLKS DO WHAT THEY WANT .. THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO USE IT,,,, IF YOU DONT WANT ME TO CALL YOU A REDNECK OR A SPIC … DONT CALL ME THE N WORD…. AND IF YOU DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT .. I DO AND THATS ME AND YOU DO YOU… A LOT OF HURT AND PAIN AND UNFAIRNESS AND EVEN KIKKINGS BEHING THE WORD… SAME AS GHETTO DONT USE IT IF YOU DONT WANT ME TO CALL YOU TRAILER TRASH… THATS WHY THAT WORD IS OFFENSIVE B/C MOST BLACKS ANCESTORS HAVE BEEN BEATEN AND WHIPPED AND USED AS SLAVES WITH THE N WORD BEHIND IT.. SO HELL NO DONT USE IT… IF YOYU KNOW ITS OFFENSIVE WHY USE IT… UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO HURTFUKL AND ALL THAT LEADS TO IS MELEE!

    June-19-2008 @ 2:47 pm

I CANT BELIEVE THE IGNORANCE AND THE AUDACITY OF PEOPLE SAYING WHY CANT WE USE IT…. ONLY IF YOU WANT ME TO ADDRESS YOU AS “HEY hONKEY” OR “HEY REDNECK”" WOULDNT THAT BE OFFENSIVE TO YOU,,, WELL WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU NOT THINK BLACKS WOULD NOT BE OFFENDED… ESPECIALLY IF THE WORD WAS THROWN ON US…. ANYBODY CAN BE A N WORD…. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ADFRICAN AMERICANS… YOU CAN BE A N WORD… SO DONT LET IT SLIP OUT OF YOUR MOUTH SO EASY B/C YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT YOURSELF!

If the N word offends you, then don’t say it.. there is no double standard. If it offends you to hear that word b.c it reminds you of the suffering of your ancestors, then why in God’s name would it be ok to say from black to black or whatever? IMO.. no one should call eachother names REGARDLESS.. You can call me a Spic, wetback.. whatever… now if you say it to my face to hurt me directly.. that’s when we go to fisticuffs… but why on earth would I spend my life worrying about it otherwise. CONSUMING YOUR HEART WITH SO MUCH ANGER B/C OF OTHER PEOPLE DOESN’T LEAVE ROOM FOR ALL THE GOOD THINGS LIFE HAS TO OFFER. I had my day of fighting over “words” or a “dirty look” .. guess what.. I grew up and starting taking responsibility for myself.. I can only let MY actions speak for who I am… like I said.. if someone is not open enough to know me for me and not judge me by my skin color or whatever, then that’s their problem.. I got my own life to live… you should do the same.

    PEACE
