GEORGE REMEMBERS TIM

Family members, friends and colleagues of Tim Russert have been assembled at D.C.’s Holy Trinity Church for a private funeral. The Meet the Press moderator and NBC Washington bureau chief’s Kennedy Center memorial service will be carried live on MSNBC at 4 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, check out the card sent by George Clooney to yesterday’s public viewing: “There are no words.” Well said.

    I don’t really like that condolence. Sounds like a cop out.

    Harley - I doubt he signed it himself. If you order flowers over the phone, the person taking the order also writes out the small card that they stick in the arrangement.

    There are no words ….

    1) to describe the loss of a great man;
    2) to convey the pain I am feeling;
    3) to tell you thank you for all that you did;

    and on and on … it leaves it to the person to fill in his or her own feelings on Tim’s death. I think it’s very touching.

    It is a woman’s handwriting. As Kidge said when you order flowers over the phone the person filling the order writes the card. I thought it was very sweet.

    You people are a bunch of jerks. The fact remains that Mr. Russert has died and all who loved him are mourning. The note card was obviously signed by the florist and the sentiment is very nice. Stop beinfg so picky and catty.

    Mr. Russert was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed.

    Ofcourse he didn’t write it himself. You call a flower place and you tell them what to put on the card and they write it for you. Yeah, that’s most likely a woman’s handwriting. Mainly just women work at flower shops. That was so nice of George to do that. Very, very touching.

    More importantly whats left is a bunch of Obama loving political hacks left at the network, at least Russert did his best to hide his bias.

    That definitely isn’t George’s handwriting or signature. 100% certain. As the more intelligent posters have already said, the florist fills out the card but you tell them what to say.

    Tim Russert will be missed in my home, he was so–positive and very enlighten with so much spirit. My Sundays will never be the same–or even as I watch politics. After his death, I haven’t really tuned in like I usually do because he was news. He was fair and accurate and where do we go now? That’s a big question– he shoes was too big fill and I will honestly miss him. Luke and his wife was so lucky to have Tim in their lives

    That was a thoughtful what George Clooney did—keep up the good work.
