Johnny Depp is truly a fan’s artist.
The infinitely talented and generous actor made good on his word recently and made one 12-year old from Oshkosh, Wisc., very, very happy.
Jack Taylor got a package in the mail last week from Johnny’s production company, Infinitum Nihil, containing a variety of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory promotional gifts along with a vintage fedora Johnny told Jack he could have when the Public Enemies star was in town in April for filming.
Jack tells The Northwester: “All I really said was ‘Can I have your hat?’ And he said ‘When I’m done with it, it’s yours.’ He was actually pretty cool.”

He is just so awesome. I love his movies, deep, dark and V-V-ROOM!
One of the most grounded actors in the biz. Such a gifted and giving human being. Love him!
SO cool of him! I wish more celebrities were like that.
IS THERE ANYTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT HIM???? I THINK NOT!
OVERRATED.
I hate kids that ask for things that aren’t theirs. There was a little girl who used to live next door to me when I was younger and everytime she came over she would look around the house and ask if she could have things. It’s rude. Ask him for his autograph but any more than that is bad manners in my opinion. Johnny was nice to give it to the brat though.
AHH I can’t wait for this movie….
