THE CHURCH HATES TOM HANKS

Tom Hanks‘ new Angels and Demons movie has been refused by the Italian Catholic Church to film in churches in Rome because the Church is still fuming over The Da Vinci Code.

Filming on the highly anticipated sequel began this month at some of the capital’s most famous sights (like the Piazza del Pantheon shown here), but entry was denied to the churches of Santa Maria del Popolo and Santa Maria della Vittoria.

As you may recall, The Da Vinci Code outraged the Vatican and many Catholics because of its story line that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children, creating a royal blood line that Church officials kept secret for centuries. Christians are taught that Jesus never married, was crucified and rose from the dead.

Yeah, because that’s more believable!

Arasto, you promote tolerance of all kinds, until it comes to religion. Then your as prejudice as the people you despise.

    ^ because organized religion SUCKS!

  17. Anonymous Says:

^ i agree! religion only perpetuates the notion that “i am better than you”. it’s not peaceful (any of them) if you’re not part of the cult. if you believe in a different “god”, then you’re wrong and i have to convert you (by any means necessary) to follow my religious beliefs. where’s the peace in that?

Hey guys, I’m baaaaackkk!!! Hahah I’ve just been away for the week in the Barrier Reef with my family, great time!
I think this is completely understandable and they have every right to not allow filming in their churches. The Da Vinci Code doesn’t exactly support religion, so why should religion support them. I actually think Hollywood coming barging into churches is completely disrespectful, unless they have permission. The movie should have a big enough budget to create a replica set.
I’m certainly not a religious person, but I think it’s important to respect the people that are and to realise that there really is no arguing with someone’s faith. If someone truly beleives in something and live their life by it, there’s not much that will talk them out of it.

This is a work of fiction - I say, “Hollywood? Go make some sets and get ‘er done.” Why waste time with this cult?

doesn’t surprise me many blogs are run by gay militants that hate christianity cause the church won’t sanction gay marriage, not natural and a sin according to christianity.
