Goes to show you that History always repeats itself.
All the remakes of the old shows, even spin-offs from new ones.
Writers have already wrote about everything. They are know forced into “repeating it with just a slight twist”.
Why would they do a spinoff of a show ( gossip girl) when the ratings are low? I don’t get it.
It’s a good show with an excellent cast and writers, but does it have the legs to spawn a spin off ???? I think the jury is still out on that.

there’s already a spinoff series of the book (gossip girl) about jenny humphrey going to boarding school, so i don’t think that would be especially shocking…

It’s not true, Josh Schwartz said so himself:
“Not sure how this got out there, but no plans for spinoff at this moment,” Schwartz tells me. “The books do have a spinoff, but we have nothing in the works right now other than making sure season two gets off to a great start.”

she’s probably the most annoying character on the show, so i doubt that would go anywhere.
