Jessica Simpson made an unexpected appearance at the CMA Music Festival Block Party in Nashville last night.
The pop star-turned-country diva didn’t perform her new song, Come on Over, but rather surprised fans with an unannounced autograph session.
Earlier in the night, Jessica was spotted dining at a trendy Latin fusion eatery called Lime.
Her date for the entire night? Nope, not on-again, off-again beau Tony Romo. It was none other than papa Joe Simpson!

I believe she has a good shot at this career since she has a decent voice, and the country music industry for the most part is apolitical unlike hollyweird.
Who’s the fat guy in the pic with her?
Wait a minute. The country scene is “apolitical”…? You cannot be serious! Anymore God, county and guns songs …yeah, not right wing at all..no never!
Man, Nick Lachey got the best years of Jessica, doesn’t look as hot there.
LOLA that’s just a media hyped stereotype of southerners, why don’t you travel the south and learn the truth just like I did.
Just like the stereotype Media is always portraying hispanics as democrats, for open borders and illegal immigration also simply not true.
She looks really heavy here.
She really did lose her look when she got divorced. I have no idea what happened but she just isn’t pretty anymore and I used to think she was gorgeous.
i can totally see her going country. maybe she’d have been a bigger star if she had gone that route first?
Country music blackballed the Dixie Chicks for years because Natalie Maines spoke up against Bush and the bullshit war he started in Iraq. History proved her right and the Dixie Chicks music is still pretty much banned on country radio. So lola lola, you are totally on the money. Anon, why don’t you elsewhere to spread your bullshit.
Some country music artists are political while others are not, just like any music genre. You can’t really classify them all as the same. The Dixie Chicks certainly did cause a scene and I think they just made themselves look stupider than Bush to be quite honest. If they had got up there and explained why they didn’t support him fair enough, but getting up there and just putting him down and cussing is not going to help anything at all, and in my opinion was just all for publicity.
Uh stupider is not a word and nobody is MORE stupid than Bush. The Chicks didn’t do it for publicity, they did it because they believed Bush was wrong. Their phrasing could have been better but they were right on the money. Six years later and where are we with this “war” — nowhere. The economy is in the toilet and gas is at $5 a gallon. Yeah, and they are stupider than Bush. Don’t think so. The people who voted for Bush (TWICE!) are the stupid ones.
Bush derangement syndrome is not going to get a democrat elected, if you all look closely there are no good choices and obama is not the messiah the media, george soros, the nutroots portray him to be, the man borders on marxism, I seriously doubt he’ll win.
She has gotten FAAAATTTTTTT
Yeah Obama may not be the messiah but compared to crazy-assed McCain, who’s about 150 years old, he offers enough to make me vote for him. No comparisons whatsoever.
She is so ugly just like her pops!
