Producer extradonaire Pharrell Williams and Nicole Richie speak during the N.E.R.D “Seeing Sounds” performance and release party at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood on Wednesday.
While new parent Nicole and pal Samantha Ronson snuck past the press line and headed inside to catch up with fellow musician Chad Hugo, Pharrell was more than happy to talk about his current business ventures. “I don’t have an empire, but I’m humbly working towards building something,” the music whiz kid said of his own foray into fashion, music and production.

If you’ve never seen N.E.R.D. live, you are missing a helluva show. They opened for Kanye recently and I was shocked at what a great live performance they give. They really had the crowd moving and treated the crowd to several different musical styles. Watching Pharrell “punk” dance is a must-see - it’s effin’ hilarious!!
