Bridget Moynahan tells Harper’s Bazaar her breakup with footballer Tom Brady, and subsequent announcement of her pregnancy was a time fraught with heartbreak and fear.
Says the new mom: “I’m not sure anyone – and I could be wrong in this – grows up thinking, I want to be a single mom. When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this.”
She adds that bringing home young John alone from the hospital last year was no fairytale. “I walk in and just started sobbing. All of a sudden, you have this newborn you have no training for. It’s frightening.”

I’ve said it a thousand times and I’ll say it a thousand more, Tom Brady is a shallow spineless backstabbing punk. He planned and tried for this baby with Bridget, then they broke up, and in the first few weeks of pregnancy he chose to chase new supermodel tail. He had an opportunity to do right by a woman he was deeply in love with for three plus years. But no, getting his Victoria Secret on was more important than loyality to his REAL girlfriend and their PLANNED baby, his spitting image son. What a damn fool. Bridget is an amazing woman and mom. God bless her.
hummm, its was a accidental pregnancy, she found out AFTER they break up, what Brady did that it was wrong? Should he come back to her even if the relationship was over, I dont think so, he took charge for the kid, she is rich and probably has tons of nannies, he is millionare and will always help with the baby and money, SPARE ME, I will feel bad for women that has to work AND support their kids really alone. Having a millionare baby daddy is not that hard.

Agree with Anon. If the pregnancy was accidental - which it was (I can’t imagine them trying for a baby and breaking up at the same time) - it means she wasn’t careful enough. We can play the blame game, but if you call yourself traditional, then you’d be more careful. I think it is remarkable that she’s moved on with her life, and that she’s taking care of her baby, but I cannot understand why Tom Brady is an a*hole for this.

I second Sruffy. I give Bridget credit for being a single mom and for going through this situation the way she did but I have no clue why they broke up and whether the pregnancy was accidental or not. I`m not convinced it is fair to blame Brady ( and Giselle ) for everything that happened. How can you be sure that Bridget isn`t just playing her cards well?

Bridget said it herself, better to be alone than with someone who doesn’t work! He did the right thing in not going back to her for the baby, it would not have lastest and their son would have been in the middle. Tom does the best he can and Bridget seems to be a happy Mother, but who still is not over Tom. She talks about him as if she is still hurt and acts as though she is still hurting. In many ways I feel bad for her. She is looking for him to still come back to her and it ain’t going to happen Bridge!
NO ONE will EVA convince me that she did not get pregnant on purpose. She dated Brady for 3 years and just as it is ending she gets pregnant?!?!? Do you know the odds on that being an accident, like 2%, I am serious!!!!!!! She got what she deserved, heartache, lonilness, sadness and desperation. People hate Brady because he is pretty much close to perfect … looks, talent, hot girlfriend. It takes two to tango baby and I’m sure neither Bridge or Brady are angels nor devils. Shit happens and she kept the baby. If he didn’t live up to his financial or fatherly responsibilities, I’m sure she would leak to the press.
Bullshit excuses for Tom Brady was still having sex with his girlfriend of three years and willingly came inside her. Whether they were having problems or not, that’s called a PLANNNED baby. If HE didn’t want a baby he would have protected himself. He learned of the pregnancy when she was only a few weeks along. So the breakup, conception, his knowledge of the pregnancy, and the newfound love of his life all happened in the span of two-three months. Give me a break. Tom Brady made a choice and he chose Gisele over his family.
Oh boo fucking hoo. Seriously I really don’t like this girl. I bet when she found out she was pregnant the first thing she thought was that because she was pregnant Tom would come back to her. Would she really want him to come back to her and live in a relationship he didn’t want to be in? Would that be a fairytale Bridget? I’m sure it wasn’t the best situation for her but I doubt she is all alone in this and I don’t think there is any proof that Tom hasn’t be a good father. He probably thinks Bridget is a psycho who has pulled at strings to get him back and then when it didn’t work in her favour to make him look like the bad guy. What planet are some of your from? As I’ve before and I’ll say again, none of us, and I mean NONE of us, know Tom or Bridget. We can speculate all we want. We are so quick to sling mud at Tom or Bridget. In all honestly, who the f**k cares. I’m sure Bridget is being handsomely taken care of by Tom for THEIR baby (planned or not). I’ve seen pics of Tom and the baby so he obviously is in the baby’s life. This speculation that Bridget is a “saint” and Tom is the “devil” is ridiculous. I’m sure both are a bit of each.

oy vey. life’s complicated, all we can offer are opinions. but my two cents - yes it’s easier to take care of a child as a single mom when you have the means and you don’t have to work two jobs to make ends meet, but it doesn’t make it easy per se. She’s human - rich or not - and it must have been scary nevertheless.
