After a night of drinking until oblivion, most of us mortals would spend the day drying out behind a dark pair of sunglasses.
Lily Allen is no mere mortal.
The British boozer threw on her best party dress today to attend the Royal Academy of Arts 2008 summer exhibition preview party in London.
Meanwhile, Lily has posted a MySpace blog item apologizing for her behaviour last night:
“Oh dear
Last time i wrote here, I was defending my honor and dignity, explaining my innocence and also outrage at the press for insinuating my behaviour was embarrassing. This time i’m putting my hands up, i got very drunk last night , too drunk. It’s not cool getting that drunk , i feel awful and I have to thank my little brother alf for getting me home safely. Kids, drink responsibly or you’ll end up looking like this, not pretty ! Was quite fun though, from what i can remember.”
Trust us, Lily….it wasn’t pretty.

please stop the invasion of euro trash.
Ok, I can take the pink hair–really I can. Even the pink heels are fun…but nobody, NOBODY can carry off blue nail polish. It’s just ugly.
lol @ blue nail polish!
^5 on Euro trash
sounds like a normal person to me.. most people I know have had that walk or crawl of shame atleast once in their life… luckily they don’t have to apologize to people they don’t even know or have to have it photographed… Not much for Lily Allen one way or another, but this is not news.. news would be if she tried to drive like that or got in a fight… this is just someone who drank too much maybe on an empty stomache.. blah blah blah.. you guys get it and probably did it, don’t be so full of yourselves
Such a great role model….pffttt! So she tells kids to drink responsibly and how awful it was, but then turns around and says how much fun it is. I know that that is often the case, I’ve been there myself :-), but if she’s trying to be a role model to kids she’s certainly not going the right way about it. Is is just me or are all British celebs drunks?
@ Stephi: She’s definitely not trying to be a role model. She’s just trying to make it seem like she’s taking “responsibilities for her actions”, and not to seem like a complete alcoholic - although these blog entries aren’t helping her. At all.
