In a public statement, Hilton said: “I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes. This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence.” (Anyone think this sounds more like a lecture given to Paris rather than a statement from her?)
Anyway, before we begin the pointing and laughing session, let me remind you of this: Last year, Miss Hilton claimed to have earned $7 000 000 as a result of public appearances. The queen of free publicity has been quoted as saying, “I don’t care what they write about me in the Press as long as they spell my name right.”

Of course she’ll have the last laugh - she always does … every single show / magazine etc… will be lining up interviews & apperances while she’s in jail - the team around her will turn her jail time into a positive experience which will just line her wallet with even more cash … I think it’s quiet admirable the way she’s handled the whole thing - but with terrorists, murderers, paedophiles & rapists roaming the streets of this country & kinda think they need to focus more on those criminals instead of someone who was just a tiny tiny bit over the drink drive limit who then went onto driving while her license was suspended - i mean, they need to get their priorities sorted

Me: I just read your comment. I DISAGREE……..this is a bitch who thinks she can get away with ANYTHING. Priorities are JUST FINE, IMO………she needed this as a good slap in the face.

She’s going to turn this into cold hard cash like every other bit of publicity, but can we have a break?
Whether she means her statement or not she does sound like she has come to terms with the situation and is being very mature about it. I think that this has been a huge wakeup call for her and that when she comes out of jail she will have a lot of changes to make in her life. Hopefully she will appreciate what has been given to her and start to do more good with her life. I think its hard for her not to act spoiled when thats the way she has been brought up.
