Avril Lavigne maintains her status as Hollywood’s princess of grace and elegance on the LA set of her new music for ‘When You’re Gone.’
Waving her middle finger in the air and dressed like a 14-year-old, it was business as usual for the 22-year-old Canadian rockstress as she filmed scenes for her very upbeat and very pink music vid.
Avril has said the song “is about being with someone you love, and you have to say goodbye, and all the little things you miss about them”. The song is rumoured to be inspired by her hubby, Deryck Whibley, who was on the set the entire day.
According to Avril, she did not intend the song to be a love song, but she was writing a slow song and the process brought out “all that emotional stuff” in her. “It’s not cheesy, because I wrote it”, she said. “If I was older, a professional writer coming up with all that, that would be lame.”
