ANGELINA JOLIE DOES ‘VANITY FAIR’

Angelina Jolie may or may not have just delivered her twin babies, but one thing we know for sure is that she graces the July cover of Vanity Fair.

Inside the mag, the mother-of-many dishes on everything from love, marriage to her career.

Angelina on being pregnant: “I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”

Angelina on her international family: “When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh-because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little-and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”

Angelina on Shiloh’s birth: “We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”

Angelina on nannies: “We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher-wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”

Angelina on artists as parents: “Artists raise their kids differently,” she said. “We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

  2. ONLY 1 Says:

All of the marvelously normal things a mother would say… **waiting for the first jackass to talk about her being a herione addict.. ooooh.. or her vile of blood… ooh ooh or how she’s crazy and her kids and brad suffer for it — wait for it.. wait for iiiiittttt……**

Okay I want to so throw up.
I can just feel in her statements above, how holy and mighty she is then the average joe.
    BOW to the holy queen.

  4. Misty Says:

She is beautiful - but there is just a little too much airbrushing on this picture. Her vogue cover was much nicer. Oh well. Also her hair looks like the 80’s.

  5. bla Says:

That is nuts! I don’t have books at my house with my kids…or art! My kids don’t even know what a play is!! WOW, that is amazing that “artists” do that with their kids. We don’t commuicate either, unless I’m telling them to grab me a beer!

  6. joe Says:

I don’t know but somehow she is turning into a sociliate to me. She used to love to be in the field with aid workers and spending weeks there. She flew low key, wore little make-up, and hated the fakness of hollywood and red carpets. Now she has four homes, is living in a 70 million dollar mansion, has three nannies, has walked the red carpet like 20 times in the past year and rarely goes to the field (I know she went to Iraq to visit the troops but really spending like 2-3 weeks with the poor people she doesn’t do now). And look at this picture so joan collins like. She just seems to have gone from so authenic to so cheesy. Instead of focusing her fame on others like she used to she seems to talk about herself all the time. She is just so changed in the last couple of years and I personally don’t think for the better. COME BACK ANGIE! BE TRUE TO YOURSELF!

Orange Clockwork, dont be an idiot dear, of course, Angelina is an artist, she is an actor, here is a definiton of an artist!

    artist (är’tĭst)

One, such as a painter, sculptor, or writer, who is able by virtue of imagination and talent or skill to create works of aesthetic value, especially in the fine arts.
A person whose work shows exceptional creative ability or skill: You are an artist in the kitchen.
One, such as an actor or singer, who works in the performing arts.
One who is adept at an activity, especially one involving trickery or deceit:

  8. fanny Says:

The cover looks great, she looks sexy and sultry! Just stunning!

  9. Anonymous Says:

    Brad is lucky man.
    Her boobs- mmmm

  10. raine Says:

Geez, the haters are just so jealous! Angelina’s beauty is the real deal, there is nothing fake in her, the eyes, the lips, the perfect oval face, and her skin, girl doesnt have any pores!

  11. Anonymous Says:

She doesn’t need airbrush,or all this makeup.
    She is a natural beautyl.
    I will buy a copy.

  12. Kidge Says:

She doesn’t look a thing like herself on the cover, and that last quote is absolutely ridiculous. Non-artists raise artists, and vice versa, every single day. She needs to get over herself already.

  13. anonymous Says:

    Kidge

Sorry kidge, Angelina’s interviews are much much interesting than Aniston’s shallow nonsense talks in her interviews!

  14. Anonymous Says:

    She is more beautiful than…that.

  15. Kidge Says:

anonymous (13) - I’m not an Aniston-lover. I actually used to really like Brangelina, but I’ve lost my taste for them recently. I still think, though, that Jolie owns Aniston in every single way.

  16. ~Typo Queen~ Says:

    HONESTLY PEOPLE -
She is looking to much like the Android Barbi Twin!!!

  17. Orange Clockwork Says:

annie - You, my dear, are the idiot if you consider her an actor. Tabloid darling, yes. Overexposed humanitarian, yes. But please, don’t get the terms “actor” and “celebrity” confused.

  18. Aysla Says:

^An actor is someone who plays a role in a dramatic production, blah blah blah. Whether you think she’s good or not is up to you, but actor she is. I don’t like the cover, that hair is too big for such a thin face. Nice interview though.

  19. Aysla Says:

“Artists raise their kids differently,” she said.

holy father, let rain some brain.

  20. kirsten drunkst Says:

shut up, people. she IS an artist and can do no wrong. oh and have YOU saved any Etheopian kids lately?

  21. Kyra Says:

I like her nose. A terrific nose job.

  22. hotbitch Says:

    Let the HATE begin………..

  23. ~Typo Queen~ Says:

    kd-

The definition of an artist is wide-ranging and covers a broad spectrum of activities to do with creating art, practicing the arts and/or demonstrating an art.
    ==
Your God, isnt an artist………If anything she would be an Actress that has blobs, and loves her boughten kids more then her real ones. She has even stated that in her own words.
    ==
An actor, actress, player or rarely thespian, is a person who acts in a dramatic production and who works in film, television, theatre, or radio in that capacity.
    =
    Duh

  24. MissJanet Says:

Damn, no matter what I may think of her personality, this woman is really beautiful. That means that I guess that in her exotic ways she defines what is up-to-date in our ways to define female beauty. Finally and after all, she is perfection, like it or not.

  25. Boo Says:

Didn’t find a c-section painful? I had two and unless she stayed on painkillers for quite some time there is definite pain. It’s major abdominal surgery for goodness sake.

  26. wazzup Says:

“Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists”

That is exactly what every other preschool parent in America does with their kids— its doesnt take an “artist” to break out the paints and crayons or the old halloween costumes….

    Angie– get OVER yourself!!

  27. make up shit Says:

Hey Typo Queen/She Rides a Harley or whatever name you choose… She isn’t a god.

  28. ~Typo Queen~ Says:

    Thats what I said - -
SHE ISNT A GOD……………..she seems to be everyone else god.

    Read it man.
    Gesh

  29. Bunny Says:

I like that color of lipstick! The article?? *yawn*

  30. 4.54 Says:

Nice cover. When you read the article, it really pins that whole pretentious-blow-up-doll look they seemed to be going for.

  31. me again Says:

I personally find her life inspiring. I think she realizes that it takes someone with a lot of money to do the things she does, and she’s grateful for it. If I had her money and fame, I’d want to try and help the world and it’s people, any way that I could. I admire that about her.

And airbrushing or not, you cannot deny this woman is GORGEOUS. I’m not a big fan of any of her movies, but she’s beautiful and trying to do something about the things she believes in.

  32. EAT IT Says:

the last paragraph is kind of silly but i like her other responses. i agree with “me again” that she is grateful. she’s far from the woman of 10 years ago… i wouldn’t have thought she’d be the person she is today.

  33. anon Says:

She looks FAN-tastic. She’s a million times more intelligent and interesting than anything Maniston has rehearsed saying. Nonetheless, I do have to be honest and say she can come off a bit pretentious. I don’t think she realizes it though. But it does seem like she’s trying very hard to portray an image of herself and her life in a certain way, and it can sound a little puffed up. Hope she starts chilling a bit. Brad can do no wrong on my eyes though. Hope he’s over the moon with his new life.

  34. THE DEVIL Says:

The most gorgeous woman in like centuries!
Gorgousness! I’m so glad that she looks so serene now.

  35. jen Says:

SHE IS AMAZING. I LOVE HER.

  36. zache Says:

whatever what the fuck would you guys say if you were being interviewed by Vanity Fair. She is a wonderful human being stop hating.

  37. CarrieAnne Says:

She looks like a whore in that picture. I think pics with pregnant women wearing that “come fuck me” look is offensive!

  38. Stephi Says:

WOWWW….could she look any hotter on this cover!!?? She doesn’t seem to wear makeup very often and when she does she just looks fabulous. Reading her comments I just really admire her, not just as a woman, but as a mother. She’s not afraid to be a little different and those children are very lucky to have such wonderful parents like her and Brad. They really seem to want what is best for those kids and they have given them some amazing opportunities and life lessons at such a young age. I wouldn’t blame them getting a nanny when the twins come at all! Most regular families if they had six young children would have help, so why shouldn’t they? Especially considering they have jobs that require them to work long days and go out at nights. I think they are managing just fine and seem very happy, so the people that hate are probably just jealous or something. I can’t understand why anyone would put down a family that obviously works so well together.

  39. anonymous Says:

She always talks like she’s above everyone ugh! I can’t stand that hoe.

  40. anon Says:

Chill, carrieanne, chill. Where did that come from? Project much? Not once did “f**k me” cross my mind when I saw this photo. All I see is a photographer capturing pure beauty. Stop being nasty…And dare I say, jealous? Tsk. tsk.

  41. anonymous bitch Says:

Oh blah! Blah! Blah! Angelina is a skank.

  42. lola Says:

doesn’t she have brown eyes? why do they look blue?

  43. Anonymous Says:

i fail to understand how a c-section is a miracle of what a body can do

    beautiful cover though

  44. BeJeeBus Says:

WOW if only my parents were artists and allowed me to see art, have books and COMMUNICATE..

  45. pillbox37 Says:

C-section, huh? ANGIE’S GOT THE HERP!

Oh, and check past photos. Definitely got her nose done. She quite average looking without the acqueline lines she bought herself.

    This woman is ridiculously overrated.
