Clint Eastwood gives Angelina Jolie Hepburn and Bergman’s iconic status
Washington, May 30 : Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood has compared Angelina Jolie to movie icons Katharine Hepburn and Ingrid Bergman.
The award-winning helmer has directed Jolie in ‘The Changeling’, and insists she is a lot like the actresses of the 1940s.
“She’s wonderful. To me, she’s like a throwback to the women in film of the Forties. Not to say women today aren’t great, but back then there was more individuality,” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
“They didn’t have the same Botox look. Angelina has that great individuality, her own look and her own style.
“I think she would have been just as big a name in that era, the same as Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis and Ingrid Bergman.”
‘The Changeling’ recently premiered at the Cannes film festival and Jolie’s performance had already had Oscar buzz starting up. )
MARSEILLE (AFP) — Hollywood’s enigmatic power couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, are in the throes of domesticity and relocating to a chateau in France’s famed Provence region, a local official told AFP.
The couple are moving their furniture into the Miraval area property, in the heart of the southeastern Var region, in time for Jolie, 32, to give birth to twins.
“They are settling in and bringing their furniture,” while American owner Tom Bove moves out of Chateau Miraval, said local mayor Michael Latz.
While Latz was not able to provide any information on Jolie’s due date, or confirm any rumours of an eventual marriage, he did say that the vineyard estate will likely become the couple’s principal residence.
A witness confirmed having seen a moving van Friday morning on the chateau premises, which are closed off by an iron gate. Guards stood watch and dissuaded inquisitive passers-by from approaching.
The regional Var Matin newspaper recently said that the couple is not intending to buy the 17th century estate, which is surrounded by 400 hectares (1,000 acres) of forest and vineyard.
Instead, they will rent the property for three years from Bove, who is already known to the couple.
A representative of Chateau Miraval, which produces organic wine, refused to confirm this.
Latz said the couple expressed interest in learning about the grapes and wine produced by the estate — “a very high quality organic wine”.

In reality think that she gave birth near to aix en Provence in a little town : “Puyricard” in a private catholic hospital named ” L’Etoile” which has special equipments for the pregnancy (only two private hospitals have him(it) in the region). My aunt gave birth there too…it’s weird there are nonnes everywhere as nurses….
Those are beautiful names :o), hopefully they stick with those when they actually give birth. If I ever have a kid, it’s Amelie for the girl and Rio/River (can’t decide if I like the Spanish or English version better) for the boy. But I’m getting ahead of myself… my boyfriend would panic ;o).
