Newlyweds Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson have confirmed on Pete’s website something that we’ve long known — they’re expecting!
“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”
And here we thought that glow was merely from their honeymoon in the Caribbean.

Despite the fact that I know next to nothing about these two, my first and only reaction is “Ew.”
Oh cmon, they are expecting a baby! That is probably the most exciting news one can ever receive. I am really happy for these two talentless idiots..
I am more happy for the Larissa girl below this post for being intelligent and winning big on Jeopardy. I can’t get too thrilled for a girl who is capable of having sex and procreating.

Wow I can’t believe some people’s awful reactions to this news. I wonder how you would feel if people responded this way if you were having a baby. Being able to have sex and procreate is amazing, really a miracle and I’m really happy for the both of them! I think it was wise for them to wait until after the first trimester because if something did go wrong they could just dismiss it all as a rumor and not feel pressured to talk about it. Ashlee is looking great and I don’t think she’s really showing at all yet! Congrats to them!

totally knew that was a shotgun wedding. unfortunately, we can anticipate a divorce within a couple years.

i don’t understand why people hate on them so much, especially Pete. Yeah he has his own thing going on but he isn’t hurting anyone! Why peope hate them is beyond me, they are just a couple in love, and I dont think they think too highly of themselves like some people like to belive.

I wouldnt want to raise a baby in todays time and age.
I dont hate them, I honestly see them in being “ok” parents in todays market.
Hell, they might last for a long - long - time, though a marriage these days in the “limelight” dont seem to last long.
Thats why I opt for a GOLDIE & KURT relationship. Goes to show you, that you can have a life together, with kids, and NOT GET MARRIED. (been together 4ever!)

I can’t believe the crows feet and lines around Pete’s eyes, he has horrible skin for being so young I Think, but then again I really have no idea how old he is, the way he dresses looks like he’s a child.
Although there was all that speculation I am a tad bit surprised she’s having a baby. I do NOT want to jump on this band wagon, AT ALL!!
