The former teen queen was the latest addition to a program begun by U.S.A. Harvest that gives meals to needy children.
Wearing a yellow top, denim shorts and sandals, Miss Duff stood at the end of a line of people dishing out food and handed plates heaping with salad, chicken, noodles, string beans and corn on the cob to the line of homeless and hungry — and a handful of fans.
Says Hilary: “I have a lot of compassion for their situation. Anyway, doing this kind of stuff is good for your soul. It makes you realize what you have in your life and makes you thankful.”

Maybe she is the only one that young girls can look up to in these days of drugs and such.

She looks very cute here! I’m so glad she’s gone back to blonde hair and gained a little weight, she looks a million times better. War Inc is coming out soon and apparently is a little raunchy with her putting scorpions down her pants and stuff like that. I can’t help but think she’s really playing up the good girl act so when that movie comes out she’s making sure her younger fans stick with her. She needs to pick an audience and stick with it or she will find she has no place in the industry.
good on Hilary for this, she’s really pulled through the mess of bratpacking girls in L.A and the surrounds. I’ve always liked her music and films (and that may seem weird seeing as I’m a guy) but as a fan really I honestly think she’s a great and honest girl from what it seems.
she’s really showing America’s younger generation to lift the game a bit and truly realise what life is really about, not just shopping, getting wasted etc.
Hilary Duff really almost deserves an award for not turning into a feral like Hilton and her gang.
