I’d say it’s more likely that Samantha is there to play at an after party rather than Lindsay be there for anything to do with her so-called “career”. She certainly would not want to be left out of something like this though, especially since in her screwed up world she is actually a credible actress. She really needs to give it up now, she’s had so many chances and nobody will ever take her seriously.
