Rapper Nas has ditched his controversial plan to call his new album N*gger, fearing problems with promotion and distribution.
“The people will always know what the real title of this album is and what to call it,” he says, but he hasn’t come up with a new name yet for the work to be released July 1 via Def Jam.
Any suggestions? Foot in Mouth perhaps?

Now, as a person of color, I never have, never will use the word to describe anyone. I don’t allow my kids to say it (they are 18 and 15), and my husband never uses it either.

I don’t agree with anyone else’s use of it either. Do not think of it as a term of endearment to be used among other black people. I can’t wish it away but pray and hope that people would stop using it. ALL PEOPLE.
