Will Australia put some wind back in the sails of Nicole Kidman’s career? She could certainly use it!
Check out the just-released trailer for director Baz Luhrmann’s latest masterpiece starring Nicole and fellow Aussie Hugh Jackman.
Should we add this to our Oscar 2009 short list?

Let me watch the whole movie first, then I will get back to you.
I almost had a flash back of her in THE OTHERS…………..
I like her
Mh, Out of Africa meets Indochine. Too bad that Nicole is not as good an actress as Meryl Streep and by far not as beautiful as Catherine Deneuve. Well, who is?
I don’t think that Nic can carry a movie, she is so bland, all tan, etheric and lifeless and judging from the trailer she is botoxed, railthin and ill.
^Yeah, I got a bit of a flashback to Out of Africa (one of my favorite movies) too. This looks good, I’m willing to give it a shot. I think Nicole’s a good actress, however she’s starting to lose her facial expressions… it’s a tool of the craft, actors should forego the botox if it leads to that.
hmmmm…cinematography looks good. Hard to tell if this will have substance or if it will be yet another overbolown epic. Reminds me of The Thornbirds.
Agree. Some actors did not receive the memo informing them that botox kills artistic talent.
Probably another long epic with boring acting.
Nicole has become a walking caricature of her former self. So sad, I never cared much for her as an actress but she was a very pretty woman at one time.
i cant judge nicole kidman’s performance without watching that movie ‘australia’
i think nicole is good actress, i dont think nicole is loosing her facial expressions,
i dont believe if movies’ boxoffice is bad so the actor’s acting is bad, well kate hephburn acting was good but she didnt have boxoffice success sometime
i hope better for australia
