After attending the Celebrity Soccer Six tournament at The New Den in south-east London today, Amy Winehouse heads back to her car, where she is greeted by a group of young fans. The British soulstress happily signed autographs and posed for photos with the group of adoring youngsters.
In her usual meagre attire - denim shorts and checked shirt with bra showing and carrying a huge brown Fred Perry bag - Wino was there to cheer on BFF Pete Doherty, who was playing for the music industry team.
Meanwhile, Amy’s pal-turned-recording partner is singing the praise of the often-in-trouble singer.
Says the Babyshambles frontman: “She’s recording loads of new stuff. I kind of took a bit of a back seat. She said ‘listen to this new song, listen to this new song, record this, record this’. I’ve got a truckload of some of her stuff and I’m going through it.” As for her current health status? “Amy is great at the moment.”

I don’t think Pete Doherty is exactly an authority on talking about somebody’s health. He probably thinks only taking heroin once a day is normal. Seriously I don’t know how these two are still even alive, let alone running around London the way they do. And there is no way I’d ever let any daughter of mine hug Amy Winehouse, who knows what they might catch! She’s not a great role model at all.
Those children need to go home and bathe in very hot water. IMMEDIATELY!
