Hollywood’s worst kept secret has just been confirmed — Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are officially man and wife.
“We are delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” said the spokesperson.

Holy fuck, the 5 of you who posted before me need to lighten up and actually try having a social life in hopes of meeting someone and being as happy as them.
I am 22 and am getting married this August. There is no certain age to get married at, when you feel you are ready and are actually in love them it’s time. So narrow-minded and arrogant comments being posted on a thread about someone sharing a special day with their partner.

Ah Shanelle, you sound awfully full of yourself. Noone, not even you has a garantie that a marriage works and getting married yound is leading to statistically more divorces. It is possible that you are the most mature 22 year old woman on the planet, but your post suggests otherwise. And Ash and Pete are getting married because he managed to knock her up, which is showing that they both are stupid enough to have sex without proper protection. So what are their odds?

Regardless of age I doubt it will last. It is hollywood after all. Hopefully, in 5 years we won’t hear about either of them. I doubt that fallout boy has lasting power as band. As far as Ashlee Reflux we can only hope that she’ll spare us another album after this one.
I agree with EAT IT. Why can’t they just see how their life together works out before they marry? In my oppinion you need to live together for at least 2 years before you know if you fit together. I can understand if people age 30+ hurry things up, after all you can’t wait all your life if you want to have kids. But these two… The ony thing this means to me is that they know they can always divorce.

It’s so sick how everyone has the need and urge to pick apart a happy moment in someone’s life. Has it been proven Ashlee is pregnant? Nope, sure hasn’t. Has it been proven that their marriage is doomed? Nope, again, it hasn’t. Who knows what sort of relationship they have? Obviously they care for each other, and that should be enough. It should be noones business to pick apart a union of two people, it’s noones business but their own.
As for myself, for those of you who were trying to knock me for my comment and saying that I am already doomed, I honestly feel sorry for you. I am happy as I could be and getting married in three months. Facts or not, I wouldn’t get married if I didn’t see it lasting.
My parents divorced, so I know what its like to go through that. I wouldn’t set myself up if I wasn’t sure. And who knows? With all the shit on tv and the divorce rate, I think people my age see how messed up people and relationships can be. Don’t judge me because you don’t know me or my fiance. And don’t just Pete and Ashlee, cause you sure as fuck don’t know anything about their relationship.

She is pregnant. They confirmed it AFTER they got married. It is on people.com so that is why they got married. This will not last but I wish them the best just like everyone else in the world who gets married. It ain’t easy!
