Britney Spears and her latest BFF Mel Gibson were spotted arriving safely in Costa Rica yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival, Britney looked calm, albeit tired, from the trip. Along with Gibson, his wife, Robin, and Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, some unidentified youngsters also got off the plane.
An immigration executive boarded their jet to complete the necessary paperwork and, about an hour later, the group took off on a smaller private plane for the province of Guanacaste, in the northwest part of Costa Rica bordering Nicaragua.
Though the exact nature of the trip is not yet know, it’s reported that the pop star will be vacationing on Mel’s coastal property along Playa Barrigona. Meanwhile, rumour has it Mel, an avid Christian, plans on “mentoring” Brit during their 2-3-day long “getaway.”

Mel Gibson has a known the family for years and lived close to them. The man is a hero, kind hearted human being helping out a family in trouble and not doing it for PUBLICITY .
Mel has a huge family and enough experience with his own children to help them get through this crisis.
One of the few people in hollywood that won’t exploit britney.

Mel has enough money to produce his own movies, and do whatever the hell he wants without anybody’s approval in hollywood, they can kiss his ass.
Yes he is hated cause hollywood and the gays hate christians, but mel is bullet proof.

I think making jokes about her mental health and calling her crazy are just sooo disrespectful and un-called for. Speculation like that is the kind of stuff that gets you nowhere in life, while they are getting themselves farther.
I think some time away will do Britney the world of good and I don’t think Mel would be a bad mentor to be quite honest. He’s made his fair share of mistakes but he’s been in the industry a long time and knows what it’s like. I hope the paps don’t bother them too much and try and get pics of Britney all the time, that won’t help her have a rest at all.
