Janet Jackson made a daring arrival in a fuchsia and pink silk degradé kimono gown by Alexander McQueen as she attended the British designer’s Los Angeles flagship store launch party last night.

The Feedback diva was joined by fellow fashionistas Eve, Joy Bryant and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks.

One person who was unsurprisingly absent? Paris Hilton. She’s was urged to stay away from the new L.A. store because she is simply not welcome.

Says McQueen: “If she comes past the shop, hopefully she will just keep walking. I don’t really covet that sort of thing. I’m not too fond of these openings, I find them quite superficial. The people who wear McQueen wear it because they want to wear it, not because it’s the new thing in town.”
