Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s newfound sense of charity knows no boundaries.
After recently visiting the Children’s Collective in South Central Los Angeles, the new parents headed straight to an L.A. soundstage where they recorded this PDA for cyclone-ravished Myanmar.
While we commend Nicole and Joel for shedding more light on this dire situation, their blatant line-reading from the cue cards underneath the camera makes us question their sincerity.

I’m sorry but I cry when I think of the poor people of Myanmar and China. Anything anyone can do for them, whether its real or for their own PR gain, is good enough for me.
Could it be that this was all last minute and it was a one take, one shot scene here?? Did anyone ever think that maybe just for once, a spoiled, silverspood fed hollywood brat may have found that her community service and traffic clesses have opened her eyes to how the “real” world is and that having a child was a huge factor in changing this young woman’s life? She now knows that the world doesn’t revolve around shopping and partying all night. I commend these two.
^I don’t think the “she reads well comments” were meant to be sarcastic, I thought she read well too (as in, she has a nice, sober speaking voice. I don’t hear her talk often). I hope Burma accepts the aid… and actually distributes it to the areas in need. They junta are so freaking paranoid though.

Cyclone is another name for Hurricane or hurricane like storm.
maybe they should be brain storming on how exactly to get all this aid they want into the country ?!
Tornadoes are over land, whereas cylones/typhoons/hurricanes are over sea and land (and they’re way bigger, too).

As for the clip, I didn’t watch past the part where Nicole mispronounced the name of the country.
The fact that Nicole is involved makes me question their sincerity!
These people need to rise against that oppresive government asap or forever live like that. Freedom isn’t free.
Anything is better than that poor, tasteless attempt by the Kardashian sisters.
