Looks like parenthood is having a really positive effect on Joel Madden and his former wild child babymama Nicole Richie.
The adorable couple made an impromptu visit (no publicists involved!) to the Children’s Collective in South Central Los Angeles today to help out some in-need kids.
The non-profit organization services more than 4000 children, youth, and their families with things like childcare, preschool programs and employment training.
Nicole and Joel were there to not only offer their money, but also their time.

Well honey you go and pay for illegal alien healthcare and welfare since they have already bankrupted los angeles, and many other cities. I’ve paid enough taxes and done enough charity. Enough of absorbing the worlds poverty. We are a generous country to a fault.

@ Enforce the damn laws : I think Americans are generous ( especially with charity work) but not the government. European countries give about 0,4 % of their national income to developing countries, Japan and America 0,15 %. The united nations advise 0,7 %.

I totally agree with you Only 1! Even if they were doing it for publicity, which they are not in this instance, at least they were doing something to help. I’d much rather they help someone out for publicity than go and flash their crotch or something. At least this way its a win/win situation. A charity gets a helping hand and the celebs get some good press. There’s nothing wrong with that.

@ Commenter nr 7: I’m not “giving” anything through the government, it’s called “paying your taxes” DUH! Noticed the words “national income”…? I know the UN is corrupt but that doesn’t change the fact that I have to pay my taxes now does it? I like organizations such as kiva.org and http://www.fistulafoundation.org/, which are the ones I support.

Anon– the murderer was a legal Dutch citizen, who happened to be extremist. How you somehow equated immigration to violent forms of extremism is beyond me, however.
