We’ve got more deets from Mariah Carey’s surprise wedding to Nick Cannon straight from the upcoming issue of People mag, on stands Friday.
The happy couple said their I Dos at sunset at the beach on her estate in the Bahamas. He wore Balenciaga. She wore an off-white dress by Nile Cmylo. “And (Christian) Louboutins — I can wear high heels with Nick because he’s tall. Flats are not in my repertoire,” says the new bride.
Nick on their whirlwind affair: “It was a love-at-first-sight thing. Since we’ve been together, we’ve been inseparable.”Mariah on how friends knew they were getting serious: “One thing (few people) knew was we got tattoos a few weeks earlier. So anyone who saw my (”Mrs. Cannon”) tattoo wasn’t surprised. To me rings are special and exciting, but tattoos mean more than anything. They’re forever and ever.”
Nick on their connection: “From the first time we sat down to discuss the video at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we connected. … I was able to be myself with her. We are both eternally 12 years old.”
Mariah on plans to have kids: “It’s part of the whole purpose of getting married. I’d just want our children to have the best childhood and upbringing they possibly could.”

i think she just got married for the sake of getting married….her biological clock is ticking and it seemed like she’d marry anyone at this point. It’s been so long since her divorce from Tommy Matolla..but whatv…maybe it’s the real deal and they’re really in love…who knows (who cares?)

I believe desperate means call for desperate measures. She is getting older, maybe great body, but not sure if anything else. We have to remember because she is very talented does not make for a well rounded out person, personally. I think she is professionally fulfilled but otherwise not much going on.
