That’s right — the French actress is the new face of Chanel.
The Amelie star is probably best known to American audiences for her role alongside Tom Hanks in The Da Vinci Code.
Miss Tatou will make her debut in a commercial next year.
Though nothing will (ever!) compare to Nicole’s Baz Luhrmann-directed ad, we’re looking forward to seeing Audrey do her thing for the legendary fashion house.

nicole’s chanel commercial is th ebest thing hse has ever starred in. audrey is cute but she is no nicole.
Yay, awesome! Nicole’s one scary beast. Definitely an improvement.
i’ve never seen that nicole/baz luhrmann ad…. that was awesome! what a beautiful mini-movie/commercial.

i like audrey as a replacement though. can totally see her representing chanel.
I find Audrey to be absolutely stunning and I look foward to seeing more of her.
Audrey is adorable. Good for Chanel :o).
Now this is one great woman….love her…
Makes perfect sense since Audrey is French like the Chanel fragrance. Coco would be so proud to see a homegirl take over. Nicole was a great Chanel “face” though and quite stunning in her own right. Loved the Baz Luhrman ad mini-movie they did together.
i think she’s perfect for Chanel and i bet her commercial is going to be great
Bravo, great choice!
I find Niclole to be repulsive. Her mouth is the worst. She has the ugliest teeth in the world and now has accentuated it by blowing up her lips to mega fish lip status. Eeeek!!!
Audrey on the other hand has a natural beauty and style that few have.
I don’t really think she’s the most gorgeous woman, but I think her whole look is adorable and just perfect for Chanel! A much better choice than Nicole Kidman who I think is terribly overrated. I really liked her ad though!
