Joined by designer Karl Lagerfeld, a.k.a. the gloved one himself, style maven Kate Bosworth did not fail to impress as she arrived to the Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday.
After clearly debating what colour to wear for the big night, Kate opted to wear every colour in the rainbow (and then some!), rocking a vintage sequin embroidered dress from Chanel Couture.

I like it
i like it too! she’d look better with some more meat on her bones though. she looks sickly.
Old Karl is one strange guy…….
I think she looks fabulous!! The dress is stunning and is really a work of art. I’ve seen Kate look better, but this is still a very cool look.
She looks o.k. but I bet the dress would look better if she had “a little more meat on her bones”!
her feet are almost as bad as katie hamer toes holmes-cruise
She looks like ass and her makeup is strictly for bozo.
I love Karl… he’s such a one of a kind kinda guy.
I actually like this dress, but I think Kate ruined the effect. You can’t see the collar-bodice detail with her hair hanging in the way. I don’t like her choice of shoes–they just don’t complement the dress. And her makeup is unflattering. That crazy blue eye shadow, that shiny face–none of it works. And would it have killed her to accessorize? I think a plastic mannequin could have owned this look more than Kate does.
Is she morphing into Nicole Kidman? And did she raid Shauna Sands’ shoe closet?
Tragic dress
I came here for the Shauna Sands reference, and wasn’t disappointed ;o). It’s exactly what I thought of too, audrey.
I don’t like that haircolor on her!
