In a new interview with New York Magazine, SJP says Kim’s demands for more money actually helped make the movie even better.
“Perhaps [Kim] was some kind of emotional psychic, because this way we made a better movie,” she says of her co-star’s decision to delay filming of the movie for a few years until she got the paycheck she wanted.

how the hell does a bigger paycheck make for a better movie? give me a break!
I think she means the time between the series and the movie. Time to grow up and think about what they want out of the movie. And themselves.
