Despite what you may have read, the engagement ring that Mariah Carey has been rocking is not second-hand. It is very new. And very expensive.
In Touch magazine has confirmed that that new groom Nick Cannon worked with Jacob & Co. to design the $2.5 million ring he gave to his bride.
The store’s rep confirms that Mariah’s new 17-carat bauble was crafted from platinum and features a square emerald-cut, fancy light-pink diamond as the center stone. It’s surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds and two half-moon diamonds on each side.
Very nice. Now the question is, how on earth did Nick afford all that ice??

I still can’t beleive these two are actually together let alone married or engaged (whatever the truth may be!). I think they seem like such an odd couple and I would never have guessed it. This ring is pretty amazing, I wouldn’t be surprised if Nick spent his life savings on this. You just know that Mimi would not expect anything less.
