Now that Britney Spears’ father Jamie has taken over the role of co-conservator, some interesting details have been discovered of Brit’s less than responsible financial affairs. Since February 2007 (around the time when she shaved her head), she’s lost nearly $61 million!!!!
In addition to the enormous tab for legal bills, rehab and psychiatric care, Britney’s inability to work has cost her a fortune. “By not touring for her last album [Blackout], she lost out on $50 million,†estimates Robert Bianchi, an LA-based CPA who isn’t an accountant for Britney. Jamie hired his own accountants to sort out the money mess and bring an end to the 26-year-old’s excessive spending. “It’s been quite a challenge getting things under control,†the insider says.
Worry not, Spears fans — since her mental health has improved, so has her spending. An insider say “she’s spending about a fifth of what she used to.”

I’m pretty sure she has a LOT more money in her bank than $61 million and because her songs are played on the radio so much she will always be making money off them. I’m sure it is still a lot of money to her but if its helped her get better and attempt to sort out her life than I think its worth it. If she ever ran out of money all she would have to do would be to give an hour long interview on Dateline or something and explain everything thats happened in her life in the past years. She would be paid a fortune for that! I agree with you completely cyn, she needs to get away from it all.
