Access Hollywood is reporting that a source close to super diva Mariah Carey is confirming that she is in fact engaged to beau Nick Cannon.
Mimi’s rep was unavailable for comment (how convenient!) and the Cannon camp is currently hush-hush about the engagement. However, Nick was spotted yesterday outside of famed jeweler Jacob & Co. purchasing a whopping 17 carat $2.5 million engagement ring.

You’re kidding me!!!?? Where have I been? I didn’t even know these two were dating!! Seriously they seem like a really strange couple. Her seems like he’s still only like 16 years old and she doesn’t seem like the type of woman to go for the hip hop kinda guy. I would like to see her happy though as it seems like she’s had a pretty rough time when it comes to relationships. Don’t know if this is the best coupling though…very odd couple.
