GWYNETH PALTROW DOES ‘GQ’

In the June issue of British GQ, Oscar-winner Gwyneth Paltrow admits she suffers from a lack of confidence in front of the camera after seeing herself in Emma.

Says Gwynnie: “People came over to watch me in the film Emma and I was like, ‘Oh. My. God. I’m the worst actress ever.’ The next day I was filming Shakespeare in Love entrenched in the idea I was unwatchably bad.”

The 35-year-old actres also reveals she is desperate to change her public image. She insists she’s nothing like the cold and icy person many people perceive her to be.

Gwyneth adds: “People think I’m aloof, or cold, or that I breathe rarefied air - that’s not me.

    i’ll always remember her for those comments she made about how hoity toity and how much more sophisticated europeans are than americans at the dinner table…as if she’s ever had dinner with a normal person in america, and it’s ironic because i find her looks completely midwestern, bland, and blue collarish…

    I’ve never been much of a fan and I find her pretty boring actually, but I think she looks sooooo beautiful in these pics. Really like an Old Hollywood movie star and just natural and glowing. Best I’ve ever seen her look!

    Paltrow is one of the best actresses and talents out there these days. She has an excellent ear which I recall her now deceased father having reportedly noticed when she was just a little kid singing in 9ths or something like that. She sings very well and if you’ve ever caught her doing comdy on Saturday Night Live, you can tell she’s done her homework as every vignette she does is a slam dunk, and she’s never just reading her lines as so many other big name guests seem to do when they are on SNL.
    She’s also very easy on the eyes…
    So, also as an older gent like Freddy, who’s been around the block a few times, hats off to Gwyneth, who also seems to be a great mom and an all around very level headed woman to boot!

    Why are there so many haters in this world. She’s just doing her thing. People get all upset if you don’t want to live the “hollywood” lifestyle. That kind of life is detrimental to the well being of a ton of people. Some of the most talented have been driven to drinking,drugs and suicide b/c of it. Yes, Europeans are more refined at the dinner table. Its a bit excessive at times, but that doesn’t mean its better or worse than american dinner tables. Bottom line is, ease up on the woman. And Barack is the man, so stop being bitter.

    i think she is an amazing actress..
    i first saw her in shallow hal and thought she did
    a good job.. as for what shes doing now its not
    attention seeking alot of actresses have low self-esteem
    and its mostly because of how harsh critics can be.
    honestly i think shes making a good choice in
    coming back into acting and the pictures are pretty.

    I think the photos are gorgeous… I wish I looked half that good after 2 kids!!!!!!!!

    By the way, I saw Iron Man on Friday night, and loved her in it (even if no one will EVER hold a candle to Robert Downey, Jr).

    I don’t think she’s aloof or cold; however, I do find that she’s a lot like her mother, Blythe Danner. I think they’re both fantastic.

    i dont like her ever since she stole the role of that movie, shakespeare in love from Wynonna Ryder!!! (whom I love) She took the script right underneath her nose. She actually conned her to come over to her house and pick up the script just to see it. She’s not a real friend — more like a bounty hunter. I cant stand her and her phoney smile (smirk)
