A new book about animal treatment slams Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.
In “Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals,” out from Harper, author Karen Dawn slams the duo, writing, “We’ve already seen Paris go through dogs faster than mojitos, and I bet nobody warned Britney that California might soon force drivers to keep dogs safely restrained in vehicles - like babies.”
Both Paris and Britney have collected a slew of pets over the years, including 17 dogs for Paris and three Chihuahuas, a Yorkie and a parakeet for Brit.
Blasts Dawn: “An impulse purchase of a companion for the next 15 years? . . . Nobody expects them to have the dogs much longer than 15 months.”
