Actors/humanitarians Brad Pitt and George Clooney joined the rest of the A-list cast today for the Cannes Film Festival photo-call for ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’, the third in a series of heist films directed by Steven Soderbergh in the mould of the ‘rat pack’ movies of the 1950s and 1960s.
‘Ocean’s Eleven’ did a pretty fair job of turning Vegas upside down. ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ turned romantic, with stops in Lake Como and Rome. ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’, which opens stateside on June 8, returns to Vegas, where the guys take on Willy Bank, a sleazy hotel tycoon played by Al Pacino, who cheated Elliott Gould out of his half of the next great hotel on the Strip.
In an interview with USA Today, George said, “This (edition) is about stickin’ up for your friends.”
Earlier this week, the ‘Oceans’ gang raised $10 million at a yacht party Cannes, and in June they head to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago for similar charity events.
As for the burning questions that’s on everyone’s mind (Where was Angelina Jolie??), there is a simple answer to that: Mama Jolie was at home with baby Shiloh who recently celebrated her first birthday.
