Aww, hellz nah!!
Today’s ‘The View’ saw what was arguably the ugliest (yet most exciting) verbal throwdown between Rosie O’Donnell and Elizabeth Hasselbeck to date.
The issue this time? Whether Elizabitch properly defended Rosie over right-wing media claims that Ro alluded to American troops as being terrorists.
Rather than go on and on about every ugly detail, I’ll let you check it out for yourself. But let me warn you — it’s pretty damn explosive.
Three more weeks of this? I’d be too scared to be a guest on the show at this point.

May 23rd, 2007 at 9:35 am
Rosie’s a little uncomfortable under the lamps of scrutiny for the words she chooses, and wants to attack someone else for it? Beautiful.
May 23rd, 2007 at 9:37 am
Rosie is a bully. And always has to control the show. Im glad shes leaving.
May 23rd, 2007 at 9:39 am
I watched it as it happened.
It was riveting…really it was (did I just type that?). I rarely agree with Elisabeth, but she totally held her own. Loved LOVED the Trump comment!
SWEEEEPS!
May 23rd, 2007 at 9:40 am
Arasto,
I actually watched the whole thing. It was really uncomfortable, and regarding the whole Rosie thing, Elisabeth brings a whole new meaning to the word ‘frenemy’
That woman has no shame. And can you please put up a clip of Alicia Silverstone completely ignoring Elisabeth when she came out. She hugged Joy and Rosie, but pretended that Elisabeth wasn’t even there. Not a pretty sight, and Elisabeth seemed very hurt.
May 23rd, 2007 at 9:57 am
elizabeth is way too right wing. she’s such a putz. joy is right in all she says. i can’t believe that bimbo is defending bush.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:03 am
Listen, if you’re not OUTRAGED at the state of this country, at what the (P)resident has done, then you AREN’T PAYING ATTENTION! He IS the worst president ever!! It’s today’s children that are going to pay the price, they will have to deal with the damage he’s caused. Life for Americans is going to get more and more dangerous because of the imperialistic foreign policy of the current cabal.
The last revolution started because a man named King George tried to deny our rights….maybe it’s time for the Second Revolution!
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:06 am
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.I don’t really agree with either of them…but its truly refreshing to see such honesty on National Television
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:27 am
Good grief that Elizabeth is a half wit!!! I really try and listen to her because she represents how half of my family feels, but she is just not that bright. And the fact that she wouldn’t give a simple “No” to Rosie’s question is a reflection on what kind of person she is. She is a coward. And it is a FACT that 650,000 Iraqis have been killed since the invasion. We’re not talking about “terrorists” were talking about collateral damage, the innocents that were expended because the “ends justify the means”…that’s FUCKING. WRONG. And that number is absolutely legitimate, study was done by John Hopkins University — they used the same process that the World Health Organization uses to determine casualties. WAKE UP PEOPLE. How does that make us Americans look in the eyes of the rest of the world, huh? HUH? This government is of the people, by the people, for the people, so ergo, it’s THE PEOPLE that are killing 650,000 innocent civilians, you think there will be no vengeance? There will be no repercussions? The Iraqis have been $#@! by the US Government since 1991. Food For Oil days, one million babies, children, women, men starved to death. One million. And with the hundreds of tons of Depleted Uranium that have been used, that place is a hell hole. Half life of DU is 4 BILLION years. That means tanks that were hit in 1991 with DU will still be radioactive when OUR SUN DIES. Jesus. Help us.
Ron Paul in 2008, he’s our only hope!
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:28 am
Lolly, that is exactly what I wanted to say. Our children are going to inherit a world that is not going to be a pretty picture after the massive mess that our leaders have made on our behalf. It freaks me out when I see people like EH who will believe anything that is fed to them as long as it enforces their own beliefs. She is way too supportive of all policies concerning George Bush.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:30 am
And secondly, this was not the most heated debate I’ve seen on the view….this was just Elizabeth getting heated and losing her cool and getting butt hurt.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:35 am
That was just shocking and insane. I was watching it live and I could hardly listen it was so emotionally charged. I never agree with Elisabeth. I think her “views” are uninformed and with blinders on. She did not extend the same courtesy Rosie has when defending a friend. Rosie is right that every time they have fought before she has ensured Elisabeth’s feelings were not hurt. The Trump comment was a low blow and seems par for the course with that dummy. I will be sad to see Rosie go but I think it is best for her well being. She is painted in the disgusting media as someone who seems so far off from her true character. Shame on you Elisabeth for never answering the question- a yes or no would have been sufficient.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:40 am
Elisabeth is like a petulant child. Did you see the mini tantrum she was throwing as Joy was reading her list of FACTS? I can understand supporting the president, wait I take that back because I can’t understand supporting THIS president so scratch that. But Elisabeth acts like someone is attacking her daddy or something. Grow up bitch. And I’m no fan of Rosie either, but i just find Elisabeth’s idiocy in blindly following this administration even with all of the information about how WRONG they have been to be completely unforgivable. Screw her.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:50 am
Elisabeth sickens me. She’s completely uninformed, brainwashed, petulant, and moronic. Unfortunately, most of our country thinks like her. Really doesn’t give one a lot of hope.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:51 am
Ha. Luella, didn’t mean to steal your word. I hadn’t even read that post. Interesting that we both called her petulant, I guess it means the word must really fit her.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:53 am
not saying that the wars are the same, but when bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, more than 200,000 people died because of the bombs. 200,000 civilians. It’s a war. Death is what happens in war. It’s not pretty, but this certainly isn’t the first war in history to have many civilian casualties.
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:58 am
Yes hiedi, but at the same time, you cannot compare WW2 and the iraqi war.
Iraqi war is criminal, we invaded a sovereign nation, who had done nothing to us in the first place, against the UN rules, might I add.
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:02 am
I can’t understand how anyone in America can still support Bush. It’s not because you’re a republican that you have to stick by everything the republican party does. Elisabeth doesn’t have her own mind or opinions it seems to me, she just blindly follows what the republican party dictates… sigh. Elisabeth if you are so pro life (I remember her being very much against to the morning after pill becoming an over the counter drug)… you’d be a pacifist and not support any war!
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:09 am
Jk - Elizabeth is only pro-life when it comes to rich white people.
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:21 am
You people are fucking retarded, all of you.
Support this, don’t support that, baseless accusations, blind accusations, fingerpointing, screaming, whining, bitching, and moaning. There’s not a one of you that’s right, and none of you are wholly wrong either, but every fucking one of you will rip the throat out of anyone who doesn’t agree with you. You’re all victims of spin and propaganda, for both sides. Grow the fuck up.
If she was espousing views you shared you’d be all over her fawning and loving. She’s not, so you don’t.
Morons.
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:41 am
What are you against freedom of speech?
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:44 am
1. Joy Behar is like a lot of people in my generation, a one time hippie who now finds herself successful (i.e. Sell Out) and bows to “liberal guilt” because she’s doing better than 95% of her fellow Americans.
2. Say what you will about the Vietnam War, it stopped the threath of Communism throughout Eastern Asia, so how that can be considered a defeat I’m not sure. The same thing is happening in Iraq. Saddam violated the terms of the surrender treaty from the first Gulf War period. That alone was enough for us to go back at Saddam. Waiting on the UN is ridiculous, there isn’t a larger Anti-American group in the world.
3. Elizabeth does seem to spout Republican talking points, The View really needs to get someone conservative on the show who is better able to explain their viewpoint, however that might be the reason ABC has Elizabeth, so no one takes her seriously.
4. Rosie was losing the argument, that is why she turned it into a personal thing. She does say whatever is on her mind - which is her right - but you have to be able to own what you say when people bring it up later on.
5. Who cares if Alicia Silverstone snubbed Elizabeth. Seriously, who cares? Sure its super easy for her to drive around in her hybrid vehicle eating acorns that fall naturally from trees or whatever, she’s a multi-millionire. She’d probably prefer us to wipe our ass with our hands to save trees or something. Its very easy when you’re young and idealistic to think your point of view and way of living should work for everyone. Shit happens and you just have to learn how to deal.
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:52 am
hiedi, it was WRONG when the US did it then, and it’s wrong now!!! 200,000 CIVILIANS dying is NOT ACCEPTABLE!
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:55 am
Seriously, if you support this administration, you are not a TRUE american.
PATRIOTS RESIST OPPRESSIVE STATE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 23rd, 2007 at 12:03 pm
The video clip wasn’t about Rosie and Elizabeth arguing… that’s their schtick… who was listening to Joy? She is awesome… whomever said she is bowing down to “liberal guilt”… I believe that is what we call having a sense of “humanity”. A compassion for the world around us. Conservatism sure isn’t working.
May 23rd, 2007 at 12:10 pm
No, I’m not against freedom of speech. I wholly embrace it, however, I believe in freedom of speech for EVERYONE, not just people popping off the popular viewpoint.
May 23rd, 2007 at 12:16 pm
I never said that it was right. I said it’s what happens in war. people die. In Vietnam somewhere between 2 and 5 million Vietnamese died. I think it’s funny that everything to do with this war is blamed on the president. The truth is, there are plenty of people under him that are the ones making the decisions, or “advising” him. I think a president is only as good as the people around him. And it’s fine to say that he’s the worst president EVER, that’s your opinion. I think it’s a bit extreme personally. How about these guys?
Warren Harding :Corrupt and short administration, Teapot Dome Scandal, opposed internationalism and Wilson’s League of Nations, moved America into isolationism, presided over beginning of the “Roaring Twenties,” confided “I am not fit for this office and never should have been here”, numerous affairs, personal scandals and misuse of government resources
James Buchanan:Failure to avert Civil War, failed to act during secession crisis, role in Dred Scott decision, prone to bouts of depression which affected his leadership, ruined his party, poor leadership
Franklin Pierce:Failure to avert the Civil War, Kansas-Nebraska Act, Gadsden Purchase, poor leadership
Andrew Johnson:Impeded Reconstruction, vetoed civil rights legislation, impeachment
Or hell, even Kennedy who was probably the most loved president. It was under his reign that US involvement in Vitnam skyrocketed, going from a mere 500 troops to 16,000. In a civil war. Did we have any business being there? THEY didn’t attack us. But maybe sometimes it’s about the bigger picture. What would have happened if we hadn’t gone in to Vietnam. It certainly wasn’t the most “successful” war in history, but did it play a huge role in containing Communism? OF COURSE. So everyone says we shouldn’t be in Iraq because THEY didn’t attack us. All I’m saying is that maybe there’s a bigger picture here. Maybe 50 years from now it’ll be obvious what direction we could have gone in if we hadn’t gone to Iraq. Who knows. All I know is that there are a lot of VERY EXTREME view points that seem to not allow any others to exist. Maybe it’s not all as black and white as that. Maybe there is good and bad in this situation.
May 23rd, 2007 at 12:31 pm
Humanity as defined by whom? My sense of humanity is taking care of myself and my offspring so no one else has to be burdened. If my neighbor wants to have monkey sex or smoke his life away as long as it doesn’t effect me and isn’t illegal I’m fine with it. I’m not here to judge my neighbor, I have my own issues. Thats the difference between America and fascist Islamic states, they want everyone to believe in ONE way, THEIR way.
In the “most powerful country in the world,” we have 25% of Muslims who approve of suicide bombers. That is in OUR country, can’t imagine how it is where Islam is the law of the land? How many TERRORISTs might have been mislabled civilians? They don’t wear a uniform. They are pussies because they blend in with civilians instead of holding themselves out to be held responsible for their beliefs.
In a war where you can’t distinguish between the good people and the evil people I’m sorry but good people have to be sacrificed. Its a sad statement but very much reality.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:03 pm
OK Janie, so seeing your solution come to life, then we might as well drop a nuclear bomb on all of mid-east and be done with them, right?? That way at least the problem will be elimintated for the sacrifice of “few” good people.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:12 pm
If any of you knew anything about Iraq you would know they posed absolutely NO THREAT to the Great United States…..after a decade of scud missile attacks and trade embargos they were decimated to third world poverty.
There was no threat, real or imagined, and in 50 years that’s going to be as obvious and plain as day as it is today, just hopefully that generation won’t be blinded by the lies the media feeds them.
The BIG PICTURE that you are referring to is that Big Oil wants control of the glorious natural reserves that country sits on. And friends of Bush, like Halliburton and Black Water also want a piece of the pie.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:14 pm
Hiedi, (jeez is your name really spelled like that or is it a typo) Bush is blamed for the failures in Iraq because its HIS policy!! HE”S NOT LISTENING TO HIS GENERALS!!! Which is why this administration has seen the most resignations of any one previously! He’s not listening to what his people tell him. The country is in civil war.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:16 pm
P.S. you silly americans. once you have a foreign war fought on your own soil, and lose american civilians, you will all change your tune.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:16 pm
and most of those presidents you listed are still KNIGHTS In SHINING ARMOR compared to W! They were weak and poor leaders, but come no where near the atrociousness of W.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:17 pm
agree mel, agreed. it’s coming. 2010.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:29 pm
This clip made my day. it’s so amusing to watch people like elisabeth struggle to defend an administration that is pure evil.
for some reason she thinks she is doing the “christian” thing….that blows my mind. anyone who believes in God, or any kind of religion KNOWS that what is going on in Iraq is soooo wrong.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:36 pm
[...] an update on today’s explosive exchange between Rosie O’Donnell and Elizabeth Hasselbeck on ‘The [...]
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:38 pm
Janie, you are talking complete and utter bullshit. You say that you only care about yourself and your family. There’s nothing wrong with that… but Iraqi’s, they’re also men and women with family’s that they love. You’d care if your family was murdered… for what reason… no reason! I can’t understand how some people think that their life is more valuable than any other human being’s life on this planet. You’re not here to judge your neighbour you say… If you don’t even care about what your own neighbours do… why should you even care about regimes in other countries. And sorry… but of all the countries in the world, America tries to be the most dominant and enforces its ways on other nations. For instance the cold war… Why the fuck did the Americans (or the American government more likely) care that Russia was communist. Because they were so tolerant of other people’s beliefs? I don’t agree with the regimes in Iraq, Iran and other countries in that region, but I certainly don’t agree with Bush’s regime. Bush is the fascist.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:55 pm
grr, it didn’t post.
i just wanted to say one last thing…mostly to hiedi but applies to everyone:
For the following 3 reasons, Bush tops the list of worst presidents ever, hands down. For these three reasons he belongs in prison for treason:
1. Dismantling the Bill of Rights (PATRIOT ACT 1 & 2, which Congress admits they passed without reading, which should also be illegal)
2. Codifying (legalizing) TORTURE (Military Commissions Act)
3. Suspending Habeus Corpus (Also Military Commissions Act)
and just for icing on the cake: 4. REAL ID Act (remember Nazi Germany? “Can I see your papers?” now Americans will have papers!)
This government is ABSOLUTELY fascist. FASCISM = CORPORATIONISM.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:56 pm
as evidenced by the homogenous nature of this page (iraq), it’s obvious that joy’s original points of impeachment were widely recognized as pure drivel.
KYOTO!?!?!?
reading to the kindergardners?! (when that secret service agent told him to chill there for a minute)
privatizing social security!??!
abu gharib?
not listening to saudi funded iraq proposal?
choking on preztels?
he may well have a reason to be impeached.
all of the above simply denote massive psychosis in the form of bush derangement syndrome.
by the way,
ron paul said that ‘our invovlement and bombing of iraq for 12 years led to 9.11′
doesn’t that give an ample reason to have attacked iraq?
geeez, i thought only loons connected iraq with 9.11.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:06 pm
lolly, are you REALLY going to make fun of the way my name is spelled? nice. How is it possible that everyone is just believing the lies that the media feeds them, when the majority of the media has a liberal spin to it? That doesn’t really make any sense! Are you sure that Bush has had the most resignations? I don’t know the exact figures, but I know that both Nixon and Johnson had MANY. Perhaps you know the exact figures and could enlighten me.
And to anonymous, Perhaps the reason why Americans cared that Russia was communist, was because of their relationship with other countries that were already enemies if the United States. Countries that had nuclear weapons and had already threatened to use them against the US. Countries that were either already communist or would be willing to join forces with Russia to try to get rid of the highest power. Isn’t that what it’s all about? Each country want to be the most powerful, because then they have they ability to set the tone of it all. If the US is the most powerful and we think that communism, or terrorism for that matter, is wrong, then it makes sense that we would do whatever we could to keep it from spreading and from affecting our own security. If the communist nations were to join forces, their hope was to become more powerful than the us, and thus have some control over the game. Of course I don’t know what was going through any of these peoples minds when any of this went on. But to me it just seems like power and control are what everyone is striving for.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:08 pm
lolly,
you overreactive, fantasy living goofball.
if bush were truly a fascist, the war in iraq would have been over for 4 years now.
there would be no baghdad, fallujah, anbar, tikrit.
and sillypantses like yourself would have been captured by one of your alleged civil rights grievances.
there would be millions of innocent casualties like there was in every war prior to vietnam (when we stopped propagandizing, and started fighting like tolerant liberals).
libs, the same folks who piss and moan about our military budget which is sky high because we intentionally produce hi-tech weapons TO AVOID CIVILIAN CASUALTIES. (a key difference to those of us who aren’t blind moral relativists)
so, you don’t want massive bombing?
then you must want our men to go door to door?
and don’t be surprised when thousands of them die because we fight humanely where every bullet that’t fired has a case filed like they are COPS IN SUBURBS!
btw, torture isn’t torture if you’re perfectly fine 20minutes after being, ‘tortured.’
and the patriot act might do well if it included a clause that said every mosque should be wiretapped.
1/4 muslims in america just ADMITTED they are ok with suicide bombings.
that’s 800k in the USA…and with the wahhabist/saudi money that funds all of the mosques…
we ought to be very careful.
i know. how intolerant of me.
democracy should be transparent, but not naked you trojan horse enabler.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:11 pm
I’m not saying I agree with Elizabeth because she isn’t a good representative of anyone I know and what they believe, most republicans aren’t talking about impeachment but they certainly are NOT happy with the President. But the “heated” debate started because Rosie wanted to Elizabeth to say that Rosie did not mean our troups were terrorists. Elizabeth may not have clearly said it previously, and she didn’t just say “no” but she did CLEARLY state during the banter that she knew Rosie did not believe our troups were terrorists. Rosie just isn’t a good listener.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:16 pm
“P.S. you silly americans. once you have a foreign war fought on your own soil, and lose american civilians, you will all change your tune.”
I agree with this, well the second part. Not ALL Americans are silly and naive. Unfortunately too many Americans think only their lives are precious. More specifically, the lives of White, Christian, middle to upper class Americans. It’s sickening. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere or something like that. You know what I’m trying to say. This war is unjust and I’m fucking sick of it!
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:21 pm
I certainly don’t agree with Hiedi’s argument of maybe the powers that be know something that we don’t, or even her point that we might find out something 50 years from now to justify all of these actions. The fact is, he is refusing to cooperate with our international laws and treaties and that’s not how our country was set up.
WHERE else does this kind of argument work? Are you able to get out of a driving ticket by explaining to the officer that he doesn’t know everything that compelled you to run the red light? Do you then proceed to provide a list of friends that ran red lights and were not given tickets?
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:26 pm
Why did America care that the Soviet Union was communist? Are you serious? Can you say hundred of thousands of martyrs killed under communist rule only because they wanted freedom? There is no comparison between capitalist America (even with all of our faults) and the evil, brutality of communist Eastern Block. America is the one country in the world who fights a war THEN helps the defeated prosper on their own. Look at Germany, look at Japan. If they were left to the Soviets after WWII you’d have seen Soviet oppression and the Soviet flag flying until the Cold War ended.
And, to the person who said we’d change our tune after we have a war on our home soil, there is no government that has the balls to come confront us on our own soil. They will hide behind the UN, use the press to make us look we seek world dominance YET bitch and moan if we don’t pour millions into India after an earthquake or even after the tsunami. We have become the worlds single parent (well UK may be a parent that visits on weekends) and the rest of the countries are petulant children.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:32 pm
The point I was trying to make is what my neighbor does is his business. My responsibility is to myself and my offspring. I have two neighbors who are Orthodox Jews, there are times when they turn off their phones and don’t use electricity. Sure, I think its weird but that’s what they want to do, then go for it. I’m not going to HATE my neighbor for what they do, I’m not going to spit on their children or teach my children to hate their children, I’m certainly not going to want to or attempt to kill them.
The problem with Islamic facsist is they are living centuries behind the West and refuse to modernize. They have no problem taking out 100 ppl to get to 1 or even just to make a point. If the Iraqi people refuse to stand up and turn in the bad guys then that’s on them. If it takes a nuclear bomb to get the point across that we accept no terrorist or terrorist sympathizers then so be it. You’d only have to drop it once and the rest of the country would fall in line pretty quickly.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:33 pm
I was going to come and mention Alicia Silverstone snubbing Elisabeth not realizing that the comments on here were getting as heated as the ones on the show.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:38 pm
K, I might have taken the cold war thing a bit out of context. But I have 1 question: why does the American government care so much about regimes in other countries? Don’t you think it’s time it tackles internal problems first… poverty and education for instance. If the US was perfect itself, then I think they might (in a very hypothetical way of speaking) have the right to try and sort other countries out. It’s so funny that Bush wants to bring democracy to other countries, while it isn’t even sure he fairly won the last election. America is a joke. Wake up.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:42 pm
Arasto you may want to leave off political blogs from now on, considering some of your readers blood pressure may be high enough for them to stroke out!
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:55 pm
Anonymous, first, America is not a joke. Second, its childish to say you have to be perfect before you are able to help someone else. Third, capitalism is by definition selfish - you want to do the best you can to better your situation, where capitalism works is you can’t do it alone and when you prosper, everyone you interact with prospers as well. There will never be a type of government system where there is no poverty, there will always be people who either are unable or unwilling to better their situation.
Look at US prisons compared to other countries. They aren’t required to do any manual labor, 90% of them are equipped with cable TV, free medical and dental care, and they are guaranteed one warm meal a day. Have you ever been to section 8 housing project? 90% of those are equipped with cable TV. How poor can you be if you have a television set! I’m not saying America is perfect, far from it, but who else has the moral authority to point a finger at us? France? France isn’t even as big as Texas and doesn’t have the monetary capabilities to try and effect change in the world.
The education system is something else alltogether that I don’t wish to get into here. I think the government - both sides mind you not just one party - and teacher’s unions are dumbing down our public education system in order to keep the masses in line. Just like cows who will stand in line and follow the food trail laid out for them until they get to the front of the line and are facing a shotgun. Not to be Tom Cruise-ish either but they are also drugging up our young men to keep them quiet during class time, turning them into zombies. What happens when these boys grow up and get into power? That is what should be scaring you.
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:57 pm
I don’t live in America, I’m not scared. You should be.
May 23rd, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Anony: What happens in America effects the world, that should be obvious.
The first election in 2000 was questionable thanks to a bunch of old people in Florida who are confused by the written English language. The second election in 2004, Bush clearly won.
May 23rd, 2007 at 3:06 pm
hiedi honestly i wasn’t making fun of the way it’s spelled, i just have to keep backspacing and retyping it cuz it’s habit to spell it the other way.
and adam you completely misconstrued what RP said regarding 9/11!!!
and i’m glad we are having this discussion. it gives me hope that there are people out there that actually give a damn.
May 23rd, 2007 at 3:33 pm
Don’t get your hopes up lolly. The guest host on today’s The View was right, too many people are tied up with American Idol or Dancing w/ the Stars or whatever, they don’t give a crap. Like someone else said, like cows to a slaughter.
May 23rd, 2007 at 3:51 pm
lolly, you kick ass. Thanks for fighting the good fight.
May 23rd, 2007 at 4:38 pm
oh, and adam, “Bush Derangement Syndrome” actually applies to people that still believe Bush is competent.
May 23rd, 2007 at 4:42 pm
you got to it before me 4.54- go lolly! (and others)! these comments have given me a little more faith in americans than i held previously. and to have that man impeached would give me 1000x more joy than paris going to jail (that’s saying something!)
May 23rd, 2007 at 5:18 pm
http://www.projectcensored.org/censored_2007/
thanks SAS and 4.54, it really means a lot! :O)
the above is an article that covers the 25 most censored stories, adam, you’ll be interested to know that in afghanistan and iraq at least 21 detainees were TORTURED TO DEATH. TO DEATH, they didn’t get up in 20 minutes….and the fact that you believe water boarding is not torture is a reflection on your morality and humanity. any time you come to vegas, PLEASE let me test it out on you, afterall, it’s just fun and games, right?

nice lolly! it makes me feel better to know there are others out there not too afraid to see the truth of what is going on. i think joy behar always has well-informed things to say….elisabeth is just a typical republican reactionary.

EXCUSE ME???????????? You who call Elizabeth a PUTZ and half wit, how dare you???????
You so called DEMS think you have the last word always and you think being a disrespectful, bull dog, rude and hateful person is just A OK. You’re wrong and you all make me sick!!!!
Why is it that you Dems blame all of whatever Bush has done wrong on Elizabeth??? Grow up!!! If Rosie would shut her loud mouth for a moment maybe Elizabeth could have a chance to speak.
As for that rude actress (whatever her name is) walking past Elizabeth, that was just plane and simply rude and uncalled for.
I say boycott Disney because they love watching Elizabeth be abused and harrassed on the show. I doubt this was ever in Elizabeth’s contract!!!!!!!!

LOLLY? Where is the blame for Clinton? No mention of what he did or didn’t do. Why not focus on how he set us up??? Let’s take a look!!!
Start with this book, Richard Miniter’s New York Times bestseller, “Losing bin Laden: How Bill Clinton’s Failures Unleashed Global Terror.”
And what about this??? To break Serb resistance, Clinton ordered sustained attacks on Belgrade itself, producing images very much at odds with the war’s proclaimed humanitarian rationale. Victory entailed the killing of several hundred Serb civilians.
ETC. ETC. ETC.
And what about Hillary voting for the war and then Rosie praises her? Hillary voted for the war and Hillary must know of how her husband messed things up for Bush to clean up.
Why not stand up and admit that both the Dems and the Reps have made mistakes and stop mud sling at our troops and why not pray for this President and ask God to lead him?
“Rosie loud mouth” isn’t helping anything but sending bad vibes and hate into our homes and showing our kids what it looks like to be a full grown bully!!!!!!
I thought we didn’t like bullies in this country and yet, on the View, we have the biggest bully of all!!!!!
BTW, Elizabeth is with child and deserves kindness and extra respect….

i’m in australia where we don’t get “the view”, so i don’t really know the background of the show or their personal viewpoints so i have to go by what i saw there.
in terms of the substance of their arguments, i think they should be free to debate until kingdom come, but i think rosie was just plain rude to elisabeth. i don’t understand why rosie kept repeating that yes or no question when elisabeth clearly answered her several times. rosie bullied her and wouldn’t let her speak!
and if it’s true that alicia snubbed her when she came on.. man.. what a BITCH!! that is really rude.
some people are just plain awful, it really annoys me.

Hmmm, I think lolly is a little confused. The Americans aren’t dropping bombs on Iraq. Their doing that to themselves. Lets put Shiites and Sunni’s into our vocabulary. AND lets not compare it to Hiroshima and Nagasaki– they killed many of our innocent in December… remember Pearl Harbor, yeah I think we do.

LA LA LA LA Barbara Walters has lost so much creditability in my book. At one time I respected her but to think she thinks that Rosie contributed so much to the view and the she is so grateful, puke!
Is it true that Mz. Rozie went to her dressing room after the show and trashed it and her friend defaced Elizabeth Hasselbecks photos in the lobby and had to be taken off the premises? What a bunch of out of control losers!!! I hope we never see the face of Rosie again!!!!!!!!!!
SIgh, please forgive us American’s. Some are very off track here of late and Sigh, to think that Disney, yes Disney owns ABC and sat back and watched this sickness time and time again and had nothing but glowing comments about Rosie. Makes you want to boycott Disneyland, doesn’t it?
