Will Smith is working on a new film titled Seven Pounds, the emotional story of a man who will change the lives of seven strangers.
The 39-year-old actor has a habit of generating blockbuster success as well as Oscar worthy performances, and this one may offer both.
In the movie, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will be showing off his skills as he portrays the role of “…a suicidal, guilt-ridden man.”
Seven Pounds, which is being spearheaded by The Pursuit of Happyness director, Gabriele Muccino, is slated for a late 2008 release date.

The only reason why he gets so much pub is beacuse he is one of a handfull of black actors in Hollywood that have been accepted. Sad as it may be.

I love him!! I disagree with the comments about him being a bad actor, I actually think he’s almost underrated. He’s always been seen as funny because of Fresh Prince but I think he’s an amazing dramatic actor. He was great in Pursuit of Happyness and in Ali as well. This movie sounds interesting, I would love to see him win an Oscar one day.
