ACTOR SPEAKS OUT ABOUT SCIENTOLOGY

Posted Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 at 10:24 am

Over three years ago, TV and movie star Jason Beghe appeared in promotional spots for the Church of Scientology, after studying it since 1994.

Now, the 48-year-old actor, who starred as Demi Moore’s love interest in G.I. Jane, is speaking out against the church in a YouTube video.

So, what does he have to say? “Scientology is destructive and a rip-off.” And, “It’s very, very dangerous for your spiritual, psychological, mental, emotional health and evolution. I think it stunts your evolution.”

He uses a lot of Scientology jargon - “clear” and “OT” levels - and he adds, “I don’t have an agenda. I’m just trying to help. I have the luxury of having gotten into Scientology and after having been in it, been out. And that’s a perspective that people who are still in and not out do not have.”

I seriously believe most people in hollyweird associated with scientology do it for some kind of gain in the entertainment industry. Like if you join they pull strings or whatever to get you ahead in the industry.. then, unfortunately, after being bombarded with brainwashing sessions, actually start to believe this stuff.. just like all cults (remember, religion is a really nice word for cult as well)… Don’t get me wrong.. there is a huge difference between spirituality and religion..

It took him 14 years to figure out it’s not a religion. I could have saved him a lot of money.

I bet the Scientology guys will not be happy about this at all…I wonder what the repercussions will be for him speaking out about it. Religion is such a problem in this world its ridiculous.

  19. J24 Says:

I just think he’s outing scientology because it didn’t work for him…he’s not mega famous like Tom or John…..so now after 14 years he claims it’s a bunch of bolony….he’s just signed his own death warrent.
