Just hours ago, Nicole Richie was spotted on her way to a studio in Hollywood.
After spending the weekend with her biological mother, it was back to work for this busy mom.
On this occasion, Mrs. Madden opted for a sensible outfit, rocking a white tee, grey jacket and skinny jeans. Never one to veer away from ending a sentence with an exclamation point, the style maven jazzed up the emsemble with a pair of funky multi-coloured basketweave sandals.

UPDATE: FYB’s blog buddy at Red Carpet Fashion Awards has ID’ed Nicole’s ankle boots! They are from Balenciaga. The price? A mere $1500!!!!

i wasn’t sure from just the top picture… but when i can see the whole shoe in the first bottom pic, i think they’re hot.
Hate them. They look like someone took a shoe and swiped it underneath all the school room desks to cover it in chewed gum. Not a nice description, but that was my initial thought when I looked at them :oP.
not those jeans with those shoes… a itsy bitsy more taylored boot cut will do it.
I usually love Balenciaga’s footwear but this one is a miss for me. If Nicole looks silly in them than imagine the ordinary people trying to rock them. They just don’t look like something she would usually go for. And didn’t we establish the fact that that was Brenda in those shots with her the other day not her biological mother?
