ROSEANNE “NOT RIGHT” FOR ‘THE VIEW’

barr.bmp

“Sometimes I think they’re just saying it because we’re both named Rosie and fat.”

That’s one of Roseanne Barr’s comments to E!’s ‘The Daily 10′, with regards to rumours that she might fill the seat-cushion divot left behind when Rosie O’Donnell exits ‘The View.’

Though Rosie O has told Rosie B it’s unlikely Babs will come a-calling — “They want someone they can control,” Barr says Rosie told her — Roseanne is open to the prospect, if only to offer the POV of someone “who actually works for a living” and “talk about things that real women want to talk about.”

For that very reason, however, Barr is bearish on her chances. “I mean, I think the public schools should be talked about every single day. And healthcare, and jobs. Plus, I don’t give a damn about celebrities. So I’m probably not right for that show.”

I don’t think she’d fit in on the View either…..

    I don’t know.
I loved her sitcom because it was about as real as a sitcom got. It represented a class of American that was working, struggling, living paycheck to paycheck, fighting to raise their kids on a tight budget while still giving them little luxuries. Certainly more realistic and honest than Fresh Prince or The Cosby Show was.
I love her, except that loogie after the National Anthem incident, because she’s pretty frank, honest, and actually somewhat intelligent.
I don’t think she’d fit in because like she says, she’s not interested in celebrity, or in using the show for her cause du jour.

I’d've like to watched her take the chance though.

I think it would be refreshing and a great move for the show… she has definitely changed and matured since her National Anthem debachle. I would love to hear more about real life issues.. There are more hits on celebrity blogs in this country than the Iraq War and homefront stories… WTF

based on her reasons why she WOULDN”T be good for the show, I say she WOULD be good for the show! We need to talk about schools, healthcare, jobs, federal reserve and the hijacking of our government. go grrl.

I don’t think she would be good for the View. It would be just like replacing Rosie with another loud, fat person. They need to find someone who is more like Meredith Veira, she was the best! The View went downhill when she left.

I lost all respect for Barr with her “He abused me” b*llsh$t. I don’t believe her about her dad or her ex.
