Latin radio station El Neuvo Diario is going wild with speculation that Shakira will finally marry lawyer Antonio de la Rua, her fiance of seven years, in September.
The ceremony is said to take place at her mansion in the Dominican Republic. Argentinian fashion designer Maria Pryor has been selected to design a stunning gala dress. And, yes, they will be signing a pre-nup. (Smart, girl!)
Her reps, meanwhile, have not confirmed anything.
Congratulations to the couple. Let’s just hope marriage doesn’t snoozify Shakira’s career like it did Christina Aguilera.

Actually, he’s the son of the former president of Argentina. His father is a billionaire. Plus, he’s a lawyer. Therefore, he’s the one who’ll conclude the pre-nup!

Seven year engagement!!! That is crazy!! I don’t know if I could wait that long. Hopefully the wait has done them well and they are 100% ready for the commitment. Congrats!

i wouldn’t say xtina’s career has gotten boring since her marriage! her personal life maybe, but her career is flying!
it is strange that they’ve been engaged for so long- i know a couple of people that have been engaged for five years but that is because they couldn’t afford a wedding! Maybe its just that these two couldn’t pin down enough time for a wedding/big party/honeymoon. I mean its not the sort of thing you want to just squeeze in between making or promoting an album or a tour.

About the seven years: maybe they were not concerned about such social manifestations of comitment…what it says to me is that they are beyond infatuation: they are a couple.

there have been so many rumours of shakira marrying this total douchebag before… i love her, but her fianceé is a total muppet.. reportedly works for her, is supported by her, i´d rather say… and rachel, though his idiotic father is the former president of Argentina, he´s far from being a billionaire.ok, enough with my useless rant, bess wishes i guess!
