Looking ravishing in red, Renee Zellweger arrives for her appearance on Late Show with David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Thursday.
The Oscar-winning actress is on the talk-show circuit this week promoting her new period football flick co-starring George Clooney, Leatherheads.
Meanwhile, in a day and age where it appears every actress is getting knocked up, the seemingly always single Renee has proclaimed that she has no plans to have children.
“Motherhood has never been an ambition,” she tells London’s The Times. “I never have expectations like, ‘When I’m 19 I’m going to do this, and by the time I’ve hit 25, I’m going to do that’ I just take things as they come, each day at a time, and if things happen, all well and good. I just want to be independent and be able to take care of myself. Anything else is just gravy.”
Hmm….how honest and refreshing!

I’m not a fan of hers at all. I think she’s a pretty good actress but looks wise I think she’s awful. I think its good that she doesn’t feel the pressure to get married and have children though, but that quote doesn’t necessarily mean she doesn’t someday want that, just that she takes things as they come.
Stunning red! So beautiful! I’ve always admired Renee’s independence and of course her talent. She really is one of the sweetest and most genuine celebs. Now if George would only wake up and realize that she is his soulmate!

I’m with Miss. I love her choice in clothing - especially on the red carpet. She looks good in evening gowns because clearly she works out heavily and has no excess body fat. That said, I find almost nothing attractive about her from the neck up - least of all her squinty eyes and overly medically scrubbed skin.
Yeah she does kind of look like a 60 year old plastic surgery victim, but this quote makes me like her more. She’s no Bridget Jones in real life… lovin the singlehood. I’m down.
