MEG AND DAISY’S DAY OUT

Meg Ryan was spotted out and about in Santa Monica, CA with her adorable daughter Daisy True today.

After picking up something to-go at an Italian eatery, the proud mom treated her 2-year-old chip off the old block to a little afternoon snack of ice cream. Dessert before dinner? Oh no she didn’t!!

As for how Daisy entered Meg’s life, the 45-year-old actress tells the upcoming May issue of Redbook that the adoption process in China includes a lottery system. In other words, Daisy was randomly assigned to her. But Meg adds, “But that said, I am convinced, completely convinced that there was nothing random about it. She is the daughter I should have. I never felt like I was on a rescue mission or anything like that. I just really wanted a baby; I was on a mission to connect with somebody, and Daisy and I got to meet each other this way at this time. We are so compatible.”

Wow what a sweet thing to say, Meg.
She totally believes in fate, and so do I.
In the west, you don’t get to ‘pick your baby’ either…… you get what you get, IF you go through the government adoption process. That is fate, in my opinion.
And the name Daisy is absolutely adorable. What a beautifully sweet couple. I’m so awed!!

Get lost, J-Lo’s maternity Panties, you can read in the above quote why she adopted. For all the RIGHT reasons! And I am glad she didn’t use the private adoption system, but waited for years like so many other people.

Daisy is three years old, not two.

They look very happy together…of course, the kid isn’t old enough to realize that Meg gave her a ridiculous name. Daisy True? Why would you do that to such a cute kid?

I actually love Meg more after reading this. She already has a teenage son so she knew what motherhood was all about (it’s not easy) and is not accumulating a bunch of kids for some “cause”. I appreciate the fact that she went through the system, waited her turn and didn’t pick out her child based on looks or any other ridiculous reason.

So sweet! Daisy looks like she’s a blast and a blessing to Meg. I bet she keeps Meg on her toes. I’m happy for them both.

whatev, I don’t mean to be presumptive here, but I have no choice. Assuming you’re speaking of Angelina Jolie, Mia Farrow and-or Josephine Baker, I have to say that I have such admiration for these women that we do know, and also for the many people who’ve made a concious choice to open their lives up to mostly special needs children, or children of varying cultures etc. So what if “a cause” is part of it? I look at it as children who are blessed that someone realized a need to be there for those kids that might not have gotten any other chance at a family otherwise because of race, ethinicity, physical-mental defect. Not meant to be preachy, but it bothers me when people feel the need to determine that one persons reasons for adopting are less or more noble than anothers.
