ANISTON HEARS AN ECHO

aniston-set-movie-echo.jpg

Jennifer Aniston has formed Echo Films and has made several acquisitions for her to star in.The 39-year-old actress has already lined up several projects, most of which she will star in.

The projects include Jane Fallon’s British bestseller Getting Rid of Matthew (about a high-level publicist who has an affair with a married man with kids, only to fall for the man’s son), the novel The Divorce Party (about a husband and wife who announce they’re splitting at a bash celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary) and The Goree Girls (based on a Texas Monthly article about a falsely convicted woman who starts one of America’s first all-female bands.)

As you may recall, Jennifer’s production company, Plan B, was co-owned by ex-hubby Brad Pitt…..and we all know how that turned out!

Jennifer is a GREAT actress. Good to see she is using her business head to start her own
production company–that is where the BIG bucks are in the biz.

It must suck to know that the only way you’ll get a decent part is to buy and produce your own scripts.

Glad to see that Jennifer finally is getting control of her own movie career and will pick and choose good projects, rather than star in stupid romcoms for which she is getting too old anyway. Sandra Bullock realized this early on and began producing her own movies and now she picks movies that interest her. May be box office hits or not, but at least she is working on movies of her own choosing and over which she has control.

At the end of the day she is not a very good actress and will not have a long career on film. TV is something she should explore again.

No, Jennifer is not a great actress. She’s talented in a “I can do Rachel Green anyway you want just please, not on TV again” kinda way, and that’s pretty much the end of the argument. I like her I really do, but she is in the same school of thespiaNOTS as Christina Applegate (who I adore) on the small screen, and Kate Hudson on the big. I was watching SAMANTHA WHO? the other day and I thought, “Jennifer Aniston could have played this part and it would have been like watching Christina Applegate playing Jennifer Aniston playing Samantha Who? I admire her tenacity in shooting for more, and yeah, never say never, she just may get a chance at a role that she won’t feel the need to resort to her alter ego, and I hope she succeeds but I just don’t think she will. I mean look at her hair! She can’t seem to change her safety doo, what makes anyone think she’d change her safety “Rachel” net?

She can’t carry a movie on her own,she alway has a big male lead to do the heavy lifting, and romcoms please she’s not even funny.

why doesn’t she take on a really different type of role. one that we’ve never seen before. all of these sound the same. self-help books. husband and wife stories. she’s so typical and boring.

She had most of those projects for a while already but not yet greenlighted. She has been kiss assing the Universal Boss’s daughter for years now, well i suppose its paying off a bit, since she got a first look deal with Universal, though VAriety didnt mention if they get any funding from the studio. Anyway, there is nothing interesting in those movies mentioned above, all silly stuff.

Always nice to see a woman taking control of her own career. Yes, she tried it before and gracefully bowed out to Brad and gave it to him so he could give all the parts to his new girlfriend (A Mighty Heart). Now she has the chance to do her own thing - why such hate for that? If you think she is a bad actress, simply don’t watch. She still should get kudos for taking on a larger role in deciding the fate of her career.

AND who are all you people that suddenly post when there is an Aniston photo and don’t comment on much else? Is there really that much angst for her out there? So wierd to me, she rarely does press or is in the rag magazines. Where is the anger from? Is it because she is 40ish with a killer bod? OR??

Sonny, how about doing your homework before posting. Marianne Pearl, “remember her?” She’d be the real life person who ASKED Angelina Jolie to PORtray her, instead of this idea that Brad BEtrayed Jen. This notion that it was ever even a consideration that Jennifer Aniston would have a turn at something of this magnitude is laughable to say the least. I happen to like Jennifer, but she isn’t the put upon heart of gold ex that got a raw deal at the hand of some flandering hubbie and his new woman, People refuse to believe that not only has she been misrepresented as the wronged wife, but that she and Brad long ago put the past in it’s rightful place, and have a quite cordial relationship. She’s said they’re friends, he’s said they share a friendship, his brother has reiterated, and all have quoted it in reputable publications. Btw, there’s no more angst out there over her than it is from others who show up suddenly when a Angelina thread pops up.

As long as she doesn’t star in any of these movies there’s a good chance of success in this. I agree with anon who suggests a return to TV. Of course her ego won’t let her as she still has grandiose plans to be a film star. Won’t happen.
