Actress Lara Flynn Boyle took time to sign autographs on her way out of Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills last night, but the super skinny actress barely looked like herself.
The former lady love of Jack Nicholson has been criticized for her barely there physique for years and nothing has changed in that department, but her face still manages to look puffy despite being extremely thin everywhere else.
Could lip and other face injections be to blame for her hardly recognizable face?

Why does bulimia make your face swollen anyone knows?? I always noticed that even though some people are super skinny their have chubby faces - like Rene Zellweger, and that Ellen Pompeo. Does that indicate bulimia? If so, then why would anyone go for bulimia??

What medical problems can arise as a result of bulimia nervosa?

I highly doubt it’s caused from too many injectables because she has a little bit of extra weight under her chin as well.
I’m sure she didn’t have that injected. Besides, she still looks great.

I knew a woman who was undergoing kidney transplant… her face looked just like this… whatever it is, she is a shadow of her former self, and it is very sad. Hope she is getting the right help.

Oh god she looks absolutely awful! I agree with the comment about Renee Zellweger and Priscilla a little bit as well. Her face looks totally numb almost like she’s been through crazy dental work on something. Although I’m pretty sure the work she’s had done has not been on her teeth. Really sad how some women feel the need to change their appearance so much that they just end up looking like a freak show.

She’s always been a wacko. When she was on the weekly show Las Vegas, she lips as big as a duck’s bill. Then there were those years before that when she was just a skeleton. She’s got mental problems that cause her to mess up her appearance this way. She’s lost touch with reality.

She could have Rhuematoid Arthritus… which would account for her swolen knuckles and hands. The common medicine for that is prednisone which is definitely a face sweller. I hope she is ok.

Sorry if it is a medical condition. Actually it’s not as if she looks bad or worse than most women in their late 30’s, but in comparison to her body weight and how she used to look… It would be ridiculous at that age to be getting as much Botox as Priscilla Presley, but then again there’s Hollywood for you. All the money and fame, not worth destroying yourself.

I had a kidney transplant 3yrs ago ind my face never looked like that! Might be a VERY severe reaction to prednisone, or not……… Oh and btw, you dont go through a kidney transplant, you HAVE a kidney transplant. You go through dialysis!!!

It looks like she has bell’s palsy (facial weakness) because her body fat is so low. Trust me look it up. We all have bell’s palsy in our system, it’s a virus but when your body fat is soooo low your body can’t fight it off.

STOP the HATE…..you all do not know if she is ill or on medication. My face was rounded when I went thru CANCER treatment. It could be any number of reasons she is not herself at this time as it relates to illness. What we all need to do is have compassion and wish her well…NOT tear her down.

I saw her on Law & Order too…..I thought it looked like a total alcoholic face. If she had “pred head”, you would normally see the swelling all over the body. It seems bulimia would cause the eye veins to burst before the face loked like this. She does not looke well, and I hope she takes care of whatever may be ailing her (physiologically or emotionally).

We all know of the prevalence of plastic surgery and non-medical cosmedic procedures in Hollywood, however this article did mention that she had just left a restaraunt. Has anybody taken a brief second to think that perhaps she came into contact with food, drink or even people that she suffered an allergic reaction to? Why speculate anyway? Any further conversation about something so unimportant is rather wasteful, wouldn’t you agree?

….it’s really a shame….don’t these actresses live any where in the “real” world? She was a real beauty; was the pressure so bad that she felt cosmetic injections could make her look any better than she really was? I have a suggestion….whenever things do get that bad…leave for a long vacation…away from it all…..especially the critics and plastic surgeons.

When did it beecome a crime to age? I am saddened to see a website seemingly dedicated to “outing” aging celebs. It’s hard enough just be a woman. Please don’t ad to the challenge by encouraging the fear of getting older. Sure, we all lose our “charms” but my goodness, it doesn’t mean we lose our sense of self or purpose. Wrinkles do NOT lessen a persons value. And if someone gets some Botox or fillers trying to keep the patina of youth, why dis them for it if the culture is telling them that aging is bad. No matter what path they chose, to age naturally or to fight off the wrinkles, there is a photographer and a website ready to pass negative judgement.

I was eager to see this post because I never liked Lara and I wanted a good laugh. But there isn’t anything funny about the way she looks, she is either ill or having a really bad time. Either way, I won’t add to the drama by insulting her, I hope whatever it is she gets better. Most likely in 2 weeks we will see some staged photo shoot with her on the cover of a magazine or tabolid talking about her issue.

Lara Flynn Boyle look like she’s not doing well, health wise. Boyle looks like she’s being affected by some sort of medication (eg: steroids, chemotherapy, breathing medication) or like she had a stroke.

No prednisone doesn’t necesssarily bloat or ‘puff up’ all of a person’s body.I’ve seen it only swell a persons’s cheeks.

Although I am not as thin as Lara, I am thin nonetheless. However, after having three back-to-back nerve blocks (steriods) in my back for extreme lower back pain, my face and under-chin puffed up in a similar fashion and stayed that way for about a month. If you look closely, her lips don’t look all puffed up so I don’t think that she’s done anything from a cosmetic perspective to make her look like she does right now. With that said, I think she deserves the right to go through whatever she is going through without people jumping to conclusions … especially negative ones! Godspeed.

You know, there was another set of photos of her last week with her getting out of a cab or limo and going into a hotel and her face was even MORE swollen. I believe she must have recently had some radical cosmetic procedures like fat injections into the sides of her face, in addition to the normal plumpers and fillers that many actresses overuse.
I think all actresses should put a photo of themselves on their mirror at the beginning of their career so that as they get surgery and fillers and whatnot as their career progresses, they at least have a photo there for reference so that they remember WHAT THE HELL THEY LOOK LIKE and so they don’t go too far. Because some of these actresses don’t even look like they did anymore. I think they especially overdo it in the area of their lips. A lot of them have overfilled too many times and after awhile their lips just lose all definition and they can’t stop using the filler because their lips are all stretched out and horrible looking without clearly defined edges at that point, so they have to keep putting filler in, and they just look more and more plastic.
And while I’m at it, here’s another thing that annoys me. I know women in Hollywood have always been thin and that’s fine with me. I myself am a thin woman. But here recently the women have starved themselves to the extent that to me, their faces are no longer as pretty, because the fat that makes the face full and pretty is lost.
I’ve seen this with so many women, Posh Spice for example. I saw two photos of her the other day, one where her face was a little fuller and she was gorgeous, but now she is just too thin. Also, Jenna Jameson, same thing. She’s lost way too much weight, AND that thing with the lips, they’re huge. All of the women on the Desperate Housewives were more or less normal weight when the show started, but look at Terri Hatcher now, way too skinny. Kate Bosworth is going to float away if she wears anything with too much fabric down the red carpet. And I could go on and on, but I have noticed that even the newscasters, entertainment show hosts, females throughout the industry have dropped a LOT of weight recently.
